    If there was more betting on bike events via the bookies – would there be more money in the sport and more biking on TV?

    Probably. Betting must be the only reason horse racing is ever shown on TV as it is very very dull!

    Keirin (track event) is big for gambling in Japan, whereas hardly anyone knows what it is in the UK.
