Its come up on a community FB group that someone almost had his bike nicked from under him by two youngsters at Esholt (just outside Bradford) last night. Sounds like he smacked one of them in the jaw (!) and got away. Anyway, just worth making people aware as lots ride round there, especially kids at the moment in the school holidays.

Our nextdoor neighbours kid is down there all the time. Don’t for one moment believe he was the suspect, as he’s a nice lad and just loves riding his bike. But I do worry if people are going to start picking on the 12-16 year olds who won’t be able to swing a punch if required. Haven’t seen the lad next door yet to tell him to be careful. It’s an obvious spot for thief’s to consider.

Spoke to the lad next door this evening and he said a couple of weeks ago there were about 5 people down there on quad bikes in balaclavas! Hopefully this is just school holidays bordum.
