[Closed] Best 1x9 chainring for XC and marathon races

I'd like to use 1x9 setup. I have Shimano XT 11-32 cassette. I need a chainring for XC, marathon and some endurance races. [b]Should I use 36t or 38t?[/b]

the answer is how strong are you.

although even a 36x32 might be a little steep for a long race.

32T here, but that's for steep alpine terrain here in the NW Alps.

One of these £16.99 and its superb, done about 40-50 hrs with it in the last 8 weeks, highly recommended. My bike gets thrashed and the chain has never come off !
