Road is allowed as rding provided you go full roadie.

Any attempt to display your mtb roots on the road bike devalues that riding time.

    YES, YES, YES ….

Think a survey of sorts needed :

    IT – What level.

    Weight – How much.

    Bike riding in hrs pw.

    Bike types owned.

    Annual spend.

And … how much time wasted on STW ….

    😳

How much is much? Ride 3-4 times per week, normally around 2 hours ata go, difficult to get longer rides in with young family.
    Yes.

I was overweight, but now a perfect weight.

Ride when I can, which isn’t often – however, I don’t own a nichebike of any description.

No, I get my hands dirty earning a proper living.

I drive a 4×4, so that discounts me even further from the STWtypical.

I am a middleclasswhineycockbag though, so not sure if that puts me back in the mix again.

Even more surprising is the number of members who not only meet at least two of these categories but are also called Graham. I’ve considered organising a group ride

I’d love to go to an STW meet up, seems more practical than having to claim on my healthcare just to get a shrink to boost my self confidence.

    No, Yes and Yes.

The ‘stereotype’ makes me laugh. We already did this. The majority of STW forum contributors work in the health service, ride their bike lots and are usually quite lean.

But that’ll never stop all the marketing and sales people who come here saying all STWers work in IT.

Just got my free Singletrack subs t-shirt. Medium fits me fine does beg the question just how fat is fat. XL must be marquee size.

Yes (still got to lose the winter ‘muscle’),
Yes although this week has contained a no (unless riding the exercise bike in a hotel gym counts),
    Yes (BCS Architect type)

Will be on the road bike this weekend proving (to my roadie mates) that I will be peaking in 2 months and with unshaved legs (partly due to my MTB roots and partly due to my wife preferring the feel of a proper hairy man aka gorilla)
