    Expensive.
I borrowed a system from the LVRC last year and each chip was £70 to replace.

Expensive – I know, but we need it. Manual timing would be difficult for such a long event, and competitors expect it.

We want to hire somebody to do it for us rather than borrow kit and run it ourselves.

We had it at HtN in 2008 but it would be good to see some other quotes.

    Timelaps?

Or have you tyhough about the sportident system?
Dark and White events might be willing to help you out?

That lot that did Strathpuffer looks very good. Web updates too for armchair encouragement

Timelaps do the Gorrick races, the chips are stuck to the back of your race number so must be some kind of RFID. Works great if you have a single point everyone goes through each lap.

Sportident did Strathpuffer. We have already contacted them and are waiting for a reply.

Timelaps are excellent, extremely professional, but not cheap.
