Is there a difference in weight? Just between the crank arms.

The Tiagra ones look as though they are more hollowed out on the back surface of the crank arm.

Is most of the weight difference in the more substantial looking outer chainring on the Tiagra?

Sora and Tiagra are the same apart from the finish.

I have a CX50 now (same as 105) and from memory, the difference to Tiagra/Sora is that they are hollow rather than just U shaped.

The chainrings on Tiagra are fairly heavy though.
