Have ordered two ultegra 10 speed chains to go on my MTB’s cos they seemed pretty cheap, thing is road 10spd = mtb 10 spd? (Dunt really matter I’ve paid for ’em I’m so I’m bleedin well running ’em – even if the wheels don’t go round – mebbes).

Yeah it’s fine. I only ever ran XTR / Duran Ace 10spd chains.

The difference between MTB and road 10spd is shifting cable pull ratio. Not chain pitch / width.

Superficial – think that’s what it must have been nibbling away at the back pf the brain cupboard

Only thing is sometimes cheap road chains are pretty short

For 1×10 so should be ok :/
