Thinking of going to Alsace for our hols this summer. I’ve heard Thann is a good base and has some good trails. Will be with mountain biking wife and two eleven year olds with good bikes. Anybody been out that way and can recommend places and a good campsite for our van? Jay

There’s a map pack you can buy at the tourist office, or you can send me an SAE and I can lend you mine. It has 20 route cards in it. Note that theyre not really into singletrack as such and so a lot of the routes are wide forest track or road.

Its been a few years since I was there and cant really remember much about it. Perhaps it wasnt very memorable. Pleasant quiet routes to explore rather than interesting singletrack riding ISTR.
