Competition: Win A Set Of Steve Peat Pedals

by 2

Steve Peat has put his name to a limited edition run of Crank Brothers Steve Peat Signature Mallet DH pedals. There’s only 1000 of them in the run, and we have pair #21 to give away to one of you lucky readers.

Launched at Fort William earlier this year and available to buy through Extra, a portion of proceeds from each pair sold goes to establish the Steve Peat Syndicate Scholarship Fund under the Crankbrothers For Others program. The scholarship fund will enable the SPS to offer support, training, and equipment to exceptional young riders who do not have the financial resources to buy into the program.

As you might have noticed, Steve Peat is a bit of a big deal. In fact, big enough that he made it into ‘Mountain Biking: The Untold British Story’, which we can highly recommend for this weekend’s evening viewing. Not only that, but he’s one of the nominees in the Singletrack Reader Awards ‘MTB Personality of the Year’ category.

If you’d like to win yourself this actual pair of pedals, worth £134.99, then follow these simple steps:

  1. Make sure you’ve got a Singletrackworld.com Log In. Go here to set one up for free if you’ve not already got one.
  2. Hop on over to Vimeo, or YouTube where you can buy or rent ‘Mountain Biking: The Untold British Story’, featuring Steve Peat and other scions of the British mountain biking scene.
  3. Watch the trailer, and look out for who says ‘Oh my God, my daughter really could win a world championship!’.
  4. Send an email with the subject ‘Peaty’s Pedals’ to competition@singletrackworld.com and tell us whose mum said ‘Oh my God, my daughter really could win a world championship!’, as well as your Singletrackworld.com Log In name.

For those of you with an iTunes or Amazon Prime account keep your peepers primed for  ‘Mountain Biking: The Untold British Story’ coming to those services (and more) soon.

We’ll draw the winner on Monday 19th September.

I came to Singletrack having decided there must be more to life than meetings. I like all bikes, but especially unusual ones. More than bikes, I like what bikes do. I think that they link people and places; that cycling creates a connection between us and our environment; bikes create communities; deliver freedom; bring joy; and improve fitness. They're environmentally friendly and create friendly environments. I try to write about all these things in the hope that others might discover the joy of bikes too.
