The countdown to MTBMovie is on

by 3

With one week remaining, we’re so pleased to reach our indiegogo crowd funding goal for the MTB movie documentary we’re co-producing. It’ll be great to smash our expectations in the coming days and support the production team in every way to make the best film possible.

We’ve also had confirmation that a raft of current and former World Champs are joining the party!

Back in the day, full face and ‘riser bars’ or what!

On the strength of our crowd funder’s support so far, we have additionally secured the services of The Athertons, Steve Peat, Gary Fisher and Martyn Ashton, who will join our already long list of industry insiders, to help us tell the story.

“It’s awesome there is going to be a film about British mountain biking. The best in the world! We’re proud that we will be part of it. Please support the film.” Dan, Gee and Rachel Atherton.

Fancy grabbing a top MTB supporter’s perk?

The £2,500 funding option is quite startlingly good value for money. As well as getting your name in lights as an Executive Producer, you’ll also get an Orange Bikes Five Frame 2016, in the custom colour of your choice, with Fox Float DPS EVOL Shock – this lot on its own has an RRP of £1700!

… Plus

You’ll also get a Hope wheelset & your choice of cranks or brakes. Frankly, it’s ridiculous, PLUS you and three friends will meet the filmmakers and see the rough cut of the film (date/venue TBC), with 4 tickets to the World Premiere in June (date/time TBC) + 4 x 1080p HD digital downloads + 4 x Annual Print and Digital Subscriptions to Singletrack (Jan ’16). I mean, it’s a ridiculously swanky Christmas present to someone…

Can’t stretch to £2,500? There are plenty of other enticements on offer, from riding and consuming coffee and chips with the Singletrack Massiv for £150 (with a print and digital subscription to our mag included), getting your name in the credits (plus an Annual Digital Subscription to Singletrack) for £40 and loads more options to suit every pocket! So what are you waiting for?

With your support, we’ll be bringing you a whole load more of this chap

Barney Marsh takes the word ‘career’ literally, veering wildly across the road of his life, as thoroughly in control as a goldfish on the dashboard of a motorhome. He’s been, with varying degrees of success, a scientist, teacher, shop assistant, binman and, for one memorable day, a hospital laundry worker. These days, he’s a dad, husband, guitarist, and writer, also with varying degrees of success. He sometimes takes photographs. Some of them are acceptable. Occasionally he rides bikes to cast the rest of his life into sharp relief. Or just to ride through puddles. Sometimes he writes about them. Bikes, not puddles. He is a writer of rongs, a stealer of souls and a polisher of turds. He isn’t nearly as clever or as funny as he thinks he is.
