This week, we introduce 3 Peaks Cycles
This week we say a big hello to our newest Premier Dealer on the block 3 Peaks Cycles. Mick Mounsey heads up this independent bike store and workshop, in the gateway town of Settle, in the Yorkshire Dales and with the Forest of Bowland (AONB) and Gisburn Forest in very close proximity, they have some of the best mixed riding on their doorstep.
What’s happening at 3 Peaks Cycles Mick?
We’re an independent bike shop in Settle, North Yorkshire offering Specialized, Orange & Bianchi. In our experience we tend to spend half our time with MTB and half with Road bikes. It’s a nice balance and keeps us on our toes. With three full time staff (two Micks and one Ian), we know our brands and market pretty well.
Straight out from the shop door, we have some of the best riding the Yorkshire Dales has to offer – if only we had more playtime to ride …

What’s your current best-selling/hottest product?
Orange Bikes RX9. We have also recently built up our new 2015 hire fleet which is in-store and ready for the season ahead. If you’re passing through or fancy a pedal locally, they are only £20/£50 per day.
Which product/brand does every staff member have on their bike?
Our personal rides of the moment: Mick S – Specialized Stumpjumper, Mick M – Specialized Crux and Ian – Bianchi Infinito CV
What was the last custom build you did?
A lovely version of the venerable Orange Five (in ‘Pro’ spec/RockShox Pike, with Monarch RC3/Mavic wheel build). We also offer 0% finance on purchases over £300 so your dream build may not be as far as you expected. Regardless of your build or colour choice, we will not be beaten on price and service.

Bear Grylls borrowed an Orange Segment from us last month. (No really, he did)
Is there a regular shop ride or forthcoming event you think our readers should know about?
We do a weekly shop evening ride – give us a shout if you want to join us. Our annual Demo Day is planned for November, so stay in touch.
