If you are an avid reader of the Express ‘news’paper here in the UK then you’ll already be stockpiling tinned goods, candles, snow salt and shovels for the snowpocalypse that’s to come. According to that rag of a so called newspaper we are seem to be in a permanent state of limbo just days away from the next Arctic blast.

Boots for snowmaggedon

Well, Van’s have just told us about a new range of snow boots that will be perfect for these sub zero end of days.

The Vans MTE Snowboot Collection features three boots designed to keep your feet warm and toasty after you’ve spent the day on the slopes. Think of them as Apres boots and you’ll get the idea.

But then, if the snow does come then perhaps they’ll prove their worth back at home while you shovel the umpteen feet of snow from your front doorstep so you can go dig out your car.

Or maybe they’ll just keep your feet nice and warm in the standard mizzle we get here in the UK most winters.

Anyway, here’s what Vans have to say about their new boots.

The Vans Standard MTE Snow Boot Collection Introduces Two New Additions: The Standard V and Standard Zip

Built with weatherproofing, traction and warmth, these boots are perfect for parking lot chilling, backyard surfing or just getting around town. Vans, the original action sports footwear and apparel brand, is happy to introduce the 2019/20 roster for its Standard MTE snow boots, which include two new alternative closure styles: the Standard V and Standard Zip.

Building on the original Standard snow boot, highlighted in global snow team rider Jake Kuzyk’s custom colorway this season, Vans is introducing the new Standard V, which represents the ultimate convenience in the Standard boot family. The fresh hook-and-loop closure is wrapped in a classic Vans aesthetic and signature Sidestripe.

The Standard Zip features an upgraded style, with a premium leather upper and a waterproof medial zipper for added entry and exit simplicity.  All three boots are constructed with waterproof seam-sealed engineering and a waterproof vulcanized lower with a reverse-lugged Standard MTE outsole for extra traction. Removable felt liners offer next-level warmth, while the Vans signature Sidestripe seals the deal.  The Vans Standard MTE snow boot collection is now available at authorized Vans retailers and at Vans.eu/snow.

These shoes are absolute rubbish. Last pair I had fell apart after 4 months, halfway through the ski season.
