The pale blue with pink bits. Feminine, but not too girly. Bright pink is out apparently (she’s 5 years old?!)

I would say no. They look cheap – like a council worker (sorry).

Normal office wear for me is smart jeans/chinos, smart shoes and a long sleeve shirt. If it’s hot I roll up the sleeves. (Did you know there are multiple ways to roll up sleeves depending on the look you want?!).

I have recently bought boat shoes so I can wear chino shorts in the office, the same shirt as above and generally mince about.

I work for for a science agency. As a general rule as long as you have managed to dress yourself it is accepted.

In the end I ordered Orbea MX20 Dirt

Seems to be very good value in comparison to many other brands. And my daughter likes the all important colour. Arrives tomorrow……almost as exciting as buying myself a bike!

Nirvana – Smells like teen spirit

I wasn’t sure what album it was on – guy in Andy’s Records knew exactly what is was the moment I described it. Very happy when I got that CD home.

Can you not just remove the old ones, measure and then order replacement bearings off ebay?

I didn’t think it was so long since I’d last been to Life Cycles. Shame!

20″ wheel girls bike that isn’t junk, but not as expensive as Islabike.

Edit: Needless to say colour is the deciding factor – got offered a very good deal by Howard at Spoked – but unfortunately it was the wrong colour.

I like Nick and Smith’s logic. I’ve got done taps so that isn’t an issue.

    Many thanks!

I use it and find it variable. Sold write a bit on it including my old car.
But you do have to shift out the time wasters. A good indicator is if they send you a text in text speak!

It is only free if your item sells straight away. They charge write a lot for relisting.
I use eBay a lot. It’s great. It cost 14% with all the fees. But I still have 86% of something I wouldn’t have otherwise. I have sold £1000’s of stuff over the years.

Nope, this is toe screw on the rear handle. It’s a little screw in front of the main bolt. I’ve been looking for a couple of weeks no with no luck.

I don’t want to pay Madison prices so it looks like I’m waiting. Tiagra just seems to rust. I don’t get a year out of the drivetrain

    +1 on the Cotic Escapade.

If it’s half as good as my Roadrat you’ll love it.
With regards to the Hanger issue, are breakaway rear mech bolts still around?

Thule 591 for me. Easy to get spares too if you lose bits.

Not looked at leasing yet – although that sort of makes sense. Any car will always end up as rust in the end! Leasing seems to work out cheaper than PCP, but buying used still seems to win.

It shouldn’t fail spectacularly but could start to crack which means new windscreen. (Which does count on your insurance if you claim as I discovered last year). Halfords now repair chips while you wait. I bought a windscreen repair kit from Halfords and did it myself. Lasted 6 months so far with no issues.

Even if i had some major repair bills I’d still never get near £12k.
The new car isn’t important to me. And while are jobs appear stable, I think it’s far to say there could be turbulence down the line so I’d rather not have the risk.

The one round the corner from Great Ormand street hospital. It’s next to a good pub called the lamb. The Italian has been there for 40+ years. Excellent and cheap too

I got a Dewalt cordless for £100 with two batteries. It’s 4 years old now and will go through masonry no bother. I’ve mixed player with it too. Twice your budget. But worth it in the the long run. I don’t see myself ever buying a corded drill. Such a faff with extension leads!

Avoid Rivo Safeguard – it son becomes an unworkable mess.
I suggest making sure that all your HSE and SOPs after in the same documents, rather than one for HSE and one for the SOP. Also get the people who will use the document to write it. My place is full of meaningless documents, written by people who have clearly never been out of the office, let alone been in the field.

I’m wondering if that is the case. The screw in bit appears to screw in and out, but nothing seems to happen. Other than a slight drip from the valve tap cover bit.

They take a Renault and make it cheaper…..

My in-laws are Serbian. Dacia are a very common car there, because they are cheap, and some of the bits are made in Serbia. From my experience of getting lifts in Dacias I would avoid like the plague. They just fall to bits. Maybe if were doing a short term PCP and weren’t planning on keeping the car. But definitely not for a long term purchase.

At the moment no. £5 a week is money I could use elsewhere. I also object to their comparison of less than the price of a coffee a day. I don’t buy a coffee a day. I’m not a Londoner.

More seriously, I don’t find they have anything that isn’t on the BBC website. Apart from the occasional recipe. I often get fed up with their opinion pieces too. I want the news only. Then I’ll draw my own opinion.

It seems to me that for a while there is too much emphasis on constantly updating the news website. Even when nothing has happened for the last day. I find I skim read far more than I used to, because it’s the same story I read yesterday, only tweaked slightly to make it look like something has happened since I last looked at the item. As with so much of today’s life it’s too much rushed delivery and not enough time taken to do a proper job.

Dovetails? Couple of hours work and no new tools needed. They work fine in MDF and ply (not chipboard though).

My Park ones are old and I’d say they were OK. I’ve resharpened them twice which does help. Probably wouldn’t buy them again though

We don’t have the floor height unfortunately (which is why I went for LVT over normal tiles). It does seem to be plastic based, with vinyl on top. I can’t find any sealant that is designed for vinyl, they all seem to be for MDF/wood floorings.

Diesel is going to phased out once the government can figure out a politically acceptable way of doing so. Plans are likely to delayed however due to Brexit sucking everyone in government up. Most likely through a combination of increased tax on diesel cars on the grounds of air pollution, and a scrappage scheme.
Injectors can be a problem on VAG cars. Dual mass flywheels are appearing on petrol too though so do check the car carefully if buying 2nd hand as they don’t trend bye covered on warranty (and they are bobbins!).

Honest John website has real world mpgs. Nissan GTR gets better than listed!

If I were buying tomorrow it’s be getting petrol.

I wonder if as usual I’m being attracted by form rather than function. I’m still tempted as if it’s no good I can always sell it to some Audi driving glampers!

I would suggest avoiding that particular machine would be a waste of money. Only 2gb of RAM it will be dog slow. My 2010 macbook has 8gb ram and a soldi state hardrive. Also bear in mind that it probably won’t run the last verion of the operating system. That leaves you open to hacking etc.

No sharp edges and no water fogging i.e. the flash can be seen should be fine. Some inspectors are fussier than others. Especially if they are likely to do the repair work.

I’ve not found anything better than my Soul. Will most likely replace it with a 27.5 Soul when money allows. But Cotic seemed to find the magic geometrey. A bit like Charge did with the Spoon saddle (only the saddle is cheap and a Soul is expensive whichever way you look at it).
