    Brilliant! Thanks

It is Martindale common, it just looks different from when I rode it a couple of weeks back due the foliage :-)

I bought the ones listed in the manual for the rear and they are incorrect, well 3 of them are!

The correct one are listed on this thread (for the rear)

Mine did this,it came loose and I finished a ride with it loose which wore the splines which caused it to keep coming loose.I ended up using some loctite on the splines to ‘fill in’ the wear and they have been OK since!

How long are they lasting on the rear? The grid on my front was pretty worn out in 500 miles.

If the bearings are visible then you should be able to read the part number of the seal?

How do you know how many hours previous owner put on it?

I don’t exactly but the ad stated he’d ridden it “a hand full of times” and the condition of the bike back this up as it was like it had never been ridden.

If that was mine, I’d service it and carry on tbh

    That is plan B

Yes I have original receipt so know where it was bought.
I really wanted to know if it was a warranty job or not.
I might send it to one of the suspension service tuning places and
see what they say.If its down to wear and tear then I get service it myself and stop it getting any worse but I don’t want to open it up if its faulty

I’ve had it 3 months or so

Definitely not a common issue. Send it back.

That’s not as easy as it sounds.I bought the bike secondhand (of here as it happeneds)so I’m not sure who to send it back to?

Does it need to go via somebody like Loco or TFT or do I take it to my local Rockshox dealer or my local Whyte dealer?

Or is it not covered because I’m the second owner?

so it isn’t due it’s first service and it’s already knackered.

my Guide RS’s that came on my Whyte T-130 Works

Same bike as mine,it will be a real pain if I do end up swapping them out as the gear selector is mounted to the righthand brake clamp and the dropper remote on the left.
New pads and a bleed kit on order first though before I do anything else.

Mine are the RS version.Bike was only a dozen rides old before I got it so though the pads would be like new.Hopefully it’s an easy pads swap and the performance will return.

cheers for the replies, just taken the pads out and they look like there on their last legs and had worn unevenly so I’ll get them changed and see what they are like then.Cleaned and scuffed the disc up with a bit of emery paper so I can start a fresh once my new pads arrive. Just didn’t want to b e flogging a dead horse ;-)

Neither Evans or Wiggle let you pick the colour of the clamps, it’s either black and luminous green or all black in Rogue grips. On the ODI website they have a “grip builder” were you can pick and chose your colours but the postage from the USA is more then the cost of the grips.
Looks like I might just have to settle for plain black

Good to know I can get a 2.3 on the rear.
I ran Cm/Smorg on my old school 26″ so might stick to what I know.

Chunky Monkey is out of stock so may have to leave the Ardents on for now!

I also have friends who run the shimano shifters with the a SRAM cassette – this also works a treat.

With a Shimano rear mech or SRAM?

    windysurfer

So the make of shifter must match the make of rear mech, cassette make doesn’t matter.Correct?
