PWEI was my my first gig, Hatfield Forum in 1993. Happy days. Don’t fancy seeing them now with their new stuff but Senser could be good, never saw them.

I got my CBT yesterday, woo. First time I have ever ridden a motorbike. Enjoyable it was too. Next stop DAS. I may be stopping by here for tips some time soon.

Will add to the list, thanks, I’ll work concentrically. The Capital Ring first, then London Loop, then this.

…would Aru have also been trying to undo some of the damage his unwise attack caused?

scale of digging on his land, which to be fair is causing considerable damage compared to just people riding natural-ish trails

Although that’s nothing compared to what ever forestry equipment is being used there. Perhaps he is like me and mildly miffed what he used to be able to ride now has big ol’ gap jumps to clear.

I will clear them one day.

    I probably won’t.

Does anyone have any tips for getting rid of white fly? I have tried some generic insecticide stuff which has done nothing. I have tried very diluted washing up liquid. I have also tried moving the plants outside in the hope the white fly would be blown away or eaten but still they persist.

Chosen! Twice in a row trying to log in. How lucky I am.

This seemed to be all the stuff associated with a vibrating ‘You are chosen’ redirect.

    On an Android.

It sounds bad but I am not sure Hamilton quite meant that. Or he did but by doing so was highlighting the ridiculousness of vettel’s “we are men” comment. Hamilton looked a bit uneasy after saying it, probably realising what he said and how it sounded. I am giving him the benefit of doubt anyway.

biffy clyro, weird singing and harmonies going on, not quite my cut of tea, was alright, the american voice really does my tits in(yer fae killie ffs ), but I can appreciate their energy!

Very much this. All hair and tattoos and heavyness, I feel I should like them but it feels more like x factor or something.

Quite enjoying this Moderat stuff. Is it mode rat or moderate? **** I have turned into my grandma. I’d best pour another sherry.

Did you check the pressures before riding?

If not I wonder if this thread had anything to do with it?

    mend soon

I turned it off, getting fed up with all the Glastonbury chat

    This. Very much this.

Regarding the poetry stuff. I quite liked it when they had Kate Tempest doing some on Steve Lamacq a while back.

Yep…getting it now when going to log in page, which as I get logged out a million times a day is not great.

    thanks all….food for thought

OP – are you paying NICs for a state pension? That’s something else you should look at.

Yes, all years full except when i was at uni.

A SIPP and (L)ISA could be a good idea – will look into further.

If the op is likely to be a 40% tax payer after retirement I would guess he wouldnt give a ****

    😀

The chances of this given my current rate of “career” discipline are quite limited. At the moment I am nearing the upper limit of basic tax rate.

Great course. Managed the target of 7 laps although the last was a big road descent, rather damp it was. Quite nice after the stifling heat. A grand day out.

I have just finished packing for my drive up in the morning. Solo effort on Saturday. Northwind has set a good target, 8 laps sounds good to me…or maybe 7. It’s sunny, yep 7.

I found some lovely stuff on Ventoux cycling to le tour last year. I left from a village to the north west called Malaucene. Then headed southish eastish which was up and over the western ridge of Ventoux. A bit of a push up but the down was great, it went down the Combe Obscure or something along those lines. Needed a map for this. Once at the bottom there was a way marked VTT trail that headed along the south side of the Ventoux. I didn’t follow all of it mind so no idea if there was round route or not. Also some great singletrack from the top of Ventoux once you’ve cleared the massive rock field.

Useful for exploring the area I think it allows you to overlay gpxs too.

it’s been a brilliant day of music working from home today.

I was 16. Went to my first gig in London (Smashing Pumpkins at the Astoria). Spent every friday night drinking snakebite and black at the Hatfield forum. And gave myself a blood clot on the brain cycling home a little merry. I was not allowed to go and see Neds Atomic Dustbin (they havent been played today) the week I got out of hospital.

    Good times.

Point of note is that Gmail ignores dots

You learn something every day….I’ve only had a gmail address since 2005.

I have built up an old kona which is mostly brilliant. Except for the howling brakes and impossibly noisy cranks. This makes me dislike it very much.

Brake remedy will be tried tomorrow, will scratch head furrther on cranks.

    Here’s to a silent bike.

I am not sure it’s keavney that’s the problem…I am turning towards his cynical resigned view of the world. That sycophantic ******* drummer from menswear needs to disappear quickly though, can’t stand him.

Having bought a tallboyLT the day they came out many many moons ago the stage 6 did have me quite excited. I’ll echo above though, for that money I’d stick with Santa Cruz. All very hypothetical, the LT does me fine.

…to an extent yunki and dezb. Day time, yes, I completely agree. Hate it, smug self congratulatory shit. But at the right times (after 9pm) there is always something of interest. Tom Ravenscroft doesn’t do bad considering the boots he has to fill.

Has anyone else just experienced a complete change of mind about the character of Nico Rosberg?

Very much so. Weird too, I have spent the last few years thinking he’s a complete ****. Good on him.

Greengo tobacco substitute is my lapse remedy. It gives you the satisfaction of rolling and by the time you have smoked half of it the itch has been scratched and you remember it’s all pointless anyway. I have about two a year I think.

Oh **** it – I’m going to join you brother. Been meaning to quit for ages. First one to have a fag has to touch a poo.

You still have to touch a poo though!
