Why do they do this? Every film seems to have some Yank droning on and on about how spiritual yet rad their journey has been. It’s awful. It’s not just the bike films, overrated snowboard film Art of Flight is a prime example.

    +1

I miss Earthed. Riding, actual riding. Not slow motion ****.

Best wishes what must be a crappy time.

I can’t help with suggestions, but all I would say is whatever you choose practice the hell out of it. At my mother’s funeral I did a reading from the tempest, and I knew it off by heart for days in advance, but when stood up there, with all the emotion, I was still reading from the paper, running my finger along the words as if I was 8. Also there may be a microphone, which is also weird if you’re not used to it.

Bets of luck with, as others have said, what might seem proper etc. is balls, choose something he would have liked, it be it monty python, something off beat or whatever.

I use squirt lube so chain cleaning just not necassary.

If i reckon the chain is wet, remove chain, hang over radiator, put bike in garage.

If the bike is particularly clarted up or its a while since I last did it, hose it down and remove chain, and hang from a radiator, put bike in garage.

If its my v nice bike that lives indoors, hose the worst off, drip dry in the Downstairs, air dry in the front room, turn cranks to ensure chain dries, shove in spare room.

I live in the country, always have, but as its not arable land we don’t get pidgeon shooting round here, so I would not be able to say for sure if I saw what the OP saw. And we loose rapters round here, most recently with a dead female Hen Harrier found on the moor near Masham, after it’s transmitter stopped moving. So if I was further east near the vale of york, I might ask the same thing. Not wanting to waste plod, or innocent pest controller’s time, but caring about the world around me. I’d rather live in the land of the conciensous than the land of the smug critic.

after looking over this form I suspect I would just put 6music on…

I’ve been humming a song by Alt J today, do I owe them money for that?

PAYE is a terrible way to pay it off, your employer takes the money off and makes one payment a year on your behalf I only noticed my loan going down after I started to dd it myself, not that that didn’t stop them threatening me despite me having references for the agreement to change to a dd….chuggers!

No way, I only pay anything at moment because of the idiotic way I’m paid, but over the whole year I don’t hit the threashold as I’m part time!

I love the roast turkey, its not really about the bird, but all that goes with it, though I do like turkey, wrap it in 2 layers of bacon, the bacon then forms a late breakfast to soak up the early booze.

Anyone know the implications for the SLC if they are unable to produce copies of the orginal signed documents?

Friend of mine has recently started making inroads into his since he got into the mid twenties earning bracket, until then the contributions never added up to enough in a year… To me now Its just another tax and it really is best not to think about it.

But for the reasons above I had no problem with the new SLs brought in a couple of years ago, the repayment threashold rises with inflation or thereabouts, and they expire after about 25 yrs. If you have to have them, that seems the way to do it to me. And a much better system negotiated by current government than was brought in by labour (who also went against an election promise).

But what’s the salary level to start paying it back? 22-25k

I chuffing wish, 15 K,for me, and not going up with inflation , so dropping every year in real terms- I pay 9%. And I graduated in 2002. For those my generation does anyone know if it expires at all like the newer ones or am I stuck with this shit for the rest of my life? Cos I’m yet to earn enough to even reduce it, I’m just paying the interest. I used to work in consumer finance, if this was FSA regulated I’m pretty sure it would be illegal.
