It’s called living life. I’m glad they do it, I admire and respect them, I couldn’t/wouldn’t and I’m happy that they are achieving their dreams.

I think I am about to..
I had a minor injury at work (equivalent to a paper cut) on the evening of the event I posted a picture of on FB in a self depricating manner and thanked those who saved my life with rapid action (ie the first aid box was opened and a small plaster was applied).

Later I had an email from our safety officer asking me to take it down. I had mentioned that I had done it at work (not the name of work or anythign like that). On FB where I work is not listed as I like to be a bit private. I realsied he can see it because I tagged a friend, otherwise my privacy is limited to firends only, not friends of friends.

Anyway I have now changed the privacy settings so he can’t see it, but I know that he has already asked a friend if it is still there.

If it goes anywhere I am going to just hand my notice in.

yeah so called admin and “penalty” clauses have to be fair, they cannot “fine” you only ask or payment of their losses. So this admin fee sounds like a fine to me. I would seek CAB advice or see if a solicitor will do a 1/2 hr free for yu to get you going in the right direction.

I don’t care about where you park, as long as its not dangerous or causing an obstruction, but this was genuinely dodgy.

    Wise words Kryton..
This has resolved itself. I foned Exeter City Council emergency line again and found a more helpful person who got the police to move them.

I’m a landlord, got three shared houses, and I can’t think of a way I could stop you having bikes in the house. Even if it said no bike in the contract I can’t see how I could enforce this legally. I dare anyone to suggest how I could enforce it. As long as you were clean and there was no damage then really there is eff all anyone can do about it.

You are living in the delusion that landlords can pick and choose their tenants, this is not true. If you were clean, tidy, paid on time and were little hassle then bikes or not you would be an ideal tenant. People like this are bloody hard to find.

(I bet you a fiver someone on here will make me out to be a ****, just cos I’m a landlord, you wait and see)

Yup Gin is Gin, happy with cheap aldi stuff. Anything you mix might as well be the cheap stuff. I will happily spend loads on decent whisky, to drink neat, or nice beers, but anything that is mixed, cocktailed or shandied can be cheap.

I tested these goldrings back to back with the Bose ones on my regular domestic flights and could find little difference. These are 70 quid. Even on a noisy Dash-8 you can still hear everything, and they help me sleep on the plane too.

His riding has gone off on an astral plane, I mean that was effing astounding.
I think that vid is the best one he has ever done, and it shows awesomely how his “street” skill just makes for a great all natural ride.

This is a sad reflection of the cheesy late 70’s, early 80’s when I was at most impressionable.

It might not beautiful but when I was about 8 years old this was the dream. I’d still have one..

In the same vein this was always awesome..

Luckily for my fledgling tastes my brother had one of these, which would be the first thing I get if the lottery lands in my lap.

nickjb did you discuss this with Jedi? I know lots of peeps who have sern him and he makes a point of not leavibg anyone dissapointed. You should talk to him, I am sure he would prefer to rectify your dissapointment.

Sounds like some of you have had a bad time of it. I have had two sessions with Tony “Jedi” doyle of UK bike skills, and they were both excellent and have given me a much improved riding experience.
Tony appears to be dedicated to making you enjoy your riding more, getting more out of it, an being a better rider. He does this by getting into your head and under your skin as a rider, its a Jedi thing.
This translates into faster coners, bigger jumps, better control and less crashing. There was no pointless bullshit, no arrogance or patronising shit. He provides excellent differentiation between the group members, and is able to teach all levels at his purpose built facility. So before any of you write off the idea of skills training because some people have been diddled by “instructors” who don’t give a shit about their customers outcomes, go to http://www.ukbikeskills.co.uk/ and book a session with the Jedi. Book early because he is in demand, he is called Jedi for a good reason.
