As a truck driver sat on my lofty perch I’m still amazed how many people I see masterbating whilst driving.

I’ve had a good year out of a pair of 5:10 Camp Fours dead comfy and always ready. I like the looks of some of the Haglofs approach shoes as well as the Scarpa Mojito shoes but not tried them. Merrell Chameleons never last me much more than 6-8 months

Art shoes are lovely if you can walk the walk. They’re quirky and indeed chunky but ultra comfy and built like little leather shithouses. I’ve had pairs of art shoes and boots that have lasted 15+ years of pubs, clubs, festivals, harvests and building sites. They’re shoes for life

+1 for the Zymes. I’ve had a pair for years, 4-5 maybe and they’re still solid.
I’ve also recently picked up a pair of Intrepid Apparel’s shorts and the build quality and comfort seem very good. I’ve done uplift days and a 52 mile drove road slog with no ill effects.

I run one of these on my Mega fitted with a Reverb
    http://www.wiggle.co.uk/ortlieb-micro-saddle-bag/

And one of these on my Genesis.
    https://www.alpkit.com/products/fuel-pod-small-clearance

Both fit everything you need for a couple of hours riding, are waterproof and don’t foul up the dropper. Actually the Alpkit one might not be waterproof but the Ortlieb one definitely is.

    My penknife.
It’s an old plastic handled hook nosed no name piece that my dad gave me when I was about 12-14. It holds its edge well and I probably carry it places I shouldn’t. I’ve lost it, found it, cut myself badly with it. I’ve trimmed hooves, skinned rabbits and deer with it, cut seat belts and made bows spears and catapults with it. I wonder how I feel if I ever did lose it properly. Maybe I’d just always expect it to turn up again.

Pah! You lot don’t know you’re born. Try sleeping in lorry in a good storm. My worst was a night in Hawes, I thought at one point we were actually going to tip over

When the wind does blow the carpets of my mother house lift and ripple. Freaked us right out when we were experimental wayward yoofs.

Well I still can’t pull a Wheelie for more than a few yards so maybe I should just keep trying.

This year i am going to try to avoid injury. 2015 sucked for broken and/or battered bones, balls and back.

Good tastes out there. Fin25, I like your style……The Boredoms? Far out.

For me Electric Ladyland is the one. The one I’ve listen to most over the years and the one album I’d take to the desert island. I listen to it often and every time it sounds different.

1992 Love Album, Entroducing, Exile on Main Street, In Utero, Ill Communication, Sheet One, Babylon by Bus amongst others are all albums I’d dearly miss

Waaaay! So cool. 8 and a half weeks in with our not so little (9:14 on arrival) guy and I’m still an emotional kaleidoscope. How can a baby crying feel so painfully sad yet fill you with such immense joy at the same time? Daftness

Theres a cycleway that runs straight past the entrance security hut. Take the right and follow your nose for a short while until you hit the road then just have a sniff about.

I give wellies a pretty tough time and personally I’ve not found better than the £15 Dunlop steels. I know they can be a bit heavy but grip, durability and comfort imho is proper good value. There are two types of their cheapys I’ve found. Green and black. The blacks are better. They’re the builder style ones and have a thicker strip of rubber over the bridge of your foot. Plus they’re ribbed for extra…….
I ve tried the Purofoot but was bitterly disappointed. Get the size right and they’re very comfy but found the grip unpredictable and scary and they split fairly quickly. Most other steels are out of my price range. If I get 6 months out of a pair I’m happy.

As for warmth, I find socks and socketts are better for versatility. Size up, there’s room for layers in the winter and air movement in the summer

We are all guilty of liking a good craze although I’m keeping it retro with my 26″ wheels.
I’ve not punctured or noticed any squirm, roll or drag for the last 12 months of reasonably hard riding so I’m happy that the PSI is adequate. And I like that false sense of grip. It makes me faster.
It’s the high end, maxxterra 3c Exo doo da 2.35 on an Easton Haven (no idea of its width). Either way I’ll be needing a new one if nobody has a simple fix.

I went for the Bell over the Met due to its practicallity as a one lid does all. It’s comfy, secure and airy and I see the chin strap as a little bit of extra protection when I’m mincing the schralp on uplift days.
I’m reasonably quick, I think but never out of my limits so the fact the Bell doesn’t meet the safety certification standards isn’t much of a concern for me.

Another vote for the 26″ NP Mega TR here from a CRC sale. I’ve run mine for a year or so now and it’s been a riot. Solo air pikes, tubeless Minions on Easton Haven wheels (CRC bargain), XT/SLX stop n go’s, 780mm carbon bars. It’s light and not too burly whilst still sucking up some big punches. Just remember to check the linkage bolts regularly, I had a few come loose.

Like the ice creams I’m partial to? No, a gurt red’un!

And I agree city trucks should be redesigned or have those wide angle looking glass things fitted to the ns window
