For £390ish on top of your £2k you could have this.

If you are looking into fostering children, part of the background check for suitability is if you have or had pets is to contact your vets

Dunno about the Ace shorts but Troy Lee Skyline’s are fairly lightweight/quick drying.
    Not overly flappy either.

Watched the pilot episode of ‘Breaking Bad’
It’s about a high school chemistry teacher who finds out he’s terminal cancer, goes off the rails a bit
and starts up a meth amphetamine lab from a camper van.
IMDB gives it a 9.4 out of 10
    Well worth a viewing.

2012 model I think, the one that comes with the ‘enduro collar’.
No problems at all, no maintenance.
Quick wipe down after each run and spray with Teflon lube around the seal and it’s good to go.

Got the 2012 Spesh Comp. disco slipper, the non carbon soled one, plenty stiff.
As NZCol says, awful to walk in especially with big sticky out Speedplay cleats.
Plenty of mesh vents, not too narrow foot bed and Boa lacing has been fine too.

    We did!
Only had the one test run out so far for an hour and a half.
Have sod all experience on a road bike so will take a bit of getting used to, even sorting out where the gears are.
First impressions are it’s fast and bumpy at 110psi! not long in covering a few miles.

John the BT engineer called out to install a phone line.
He’s met at the door by a sweet little old lady pensioner and her yapping Jack Russell, Chip.
    ‘Don’t worry son, he’s harmless’ John’s told.
John proceeds to fit socket in hall while little old lady disappears into the kitchen to make a cup of tea, Chip is baring the teeth now.
John is tacking in the cable when Chip has a snap at him. Enough’s enough thinks John and gives the dog a tap on the head with a small craft hammer, just to get it to back off.
Chip keels over and dies on him!
Not knowing how to explain to her what’s happened dear old Chip, he panics and stuffs the dog into his tool box!
Dumps it along the road side.
Poor old lady probably wondering to this day what happened to Chip.

The Rubber Queens sound a bit hit and miss.
Pity as the ‘black chilli’ look to be a good, fat, grippy tyre,
but at £40+ an end I don’t think it’s worth the risk.
Will check out the Spesh range.
    Any other recommendations?

I have the Poc and the Urge, both in black. Trabec is matte finish, Enduro is gloss.
The Urge sizing comes up small, so would try before you buy.
It does run a bit hotter, not as well vented but fine once your moving.
Sizing on the Trabec for me is spot on and you have the retention system at the back and the adjustable visor, the Urge has neither.
I alternate them, so both see equal use.
To me the Trabec is the quality item, the Enduro is more of a pimped up piss-pot style lid

Got the CCDB Air fitted to the Yeti yesterday.
9.5/3″ It’s a big lump of an air can!
Cane Creek’s website give base settings for a few bikes but not the Yeti.
Manual says to set sag between 50-75psi (no sign of a max psi listed) which resulted in a sag rate for my weight of near 80%!
Upped the pressure to around 150psi which brought it closer to 30% sag.
Initial ride up and down the road and the rebound felt too slow, as if the back of the bike was playing catch up with the fork.
Did a few drops to see if I could bottom it out, still had about 1cm travel.
Feels smooth, just needs a bit of fine tuning on some proper DH runs

    From the big CRC.
Which works out handy enough for me,
    half hour from the house.

    Got it sorted, eventually!
Mavic don’t exactly make it an easy process.
Had to phone retailer for their code,
next stop was Mavic’s service centre for their product code,
followed by digging in the bin, round the box and bubble wrap for an imaginary card
only to find the 2 more essential codes printed on the actual rims.

    Fox 831’s.
    Internally adjustable 80/100/120mm
15mm bolt thru might not suit your front wheel though.

I like the Vault’s, good size platform 115sq cm for planting the 5/10’s on.
Think the Spike’s are 90sq cm.
    Similar weights.
