I picked up a 2012 Whyte t120 cheap and sold on the parts, slack (enough) and only about 26lbs in my build with a reverb. Going to get a bit heavier when I plug my 130mm slant fork in it at the end of the month.

I am in Derby and like the rest will keep an eye out the evo is a very distinctive bike so hopefully there is a good chance of getting it back.

My mate had exactly the same with sektor’s they said they were full of mud and water and blown a seal. After 35 hours riding, he dug his heels in and Leisure Lakes ended up sorting the warranty not Fishers. Fair play to Leisure lakes but fishers not so good. This has been made worse by 2 rides after there full service they have developed loads of play and got back again.

Different bike to e120 longer and slacker, Marin s are under rated as well.

Had one about a month having had a pitch before and really enjoying it. A lot more responsive and light generally more suited to my riding 95 per cent of the time. I have swapped the brakes, wheels, tires, bars and stem plus a reverb.
The geometry is good and I have no problems with the heels and swingarm. Its a really nice bike and well worth the price you can pick one up for.

shame you did not have the clamp raising the seat by an inch would have made it way easier.

In the last year I have used

Lyrics, 36’s, revs 15mm & 20mm, marzocchi 15mm and reba 15mm (current) The only real difference I could tell between is really the 35/36mm legs on the bigger forks making them stiffer. Made no real difference to me on the revs and I found the reba ‘s the stiffest of all the 32 legs(less travel I suppose) all except reba had 203mm rotor on.

When I said 4 hours a ride that does not allow for stopping at the caf etc. My gps gives about 2 – 3 hours riding time normally so that gives about 36 hours actual riding. I service my forks once a year and weigh 20kg more and ride alot more so to me it seems a little off to me.

I was, they are a nice stiff fork and i found the travel adjust really easy and good. the rest of the setup took me a while though to get them feeling right. I round them more plush than the 36 kashima floats I had before.

think that is what I am going to do, don’t know how anyone can prove the service intervals so they always have you, the legs and stanctions are mark free so they do not show excessive use.

its not here so I am afraid so can’t measure it, always felt ok to me with a 70mm stem on and I am 6 2. It is nice and slack as well. No headset I am afraid just half a bb in it I think

got a Marin b17 in medium (17.5) which is a bit small but I found it ok with a 400mm post in (reasonably long in the top tube), it is for 140mm forks, 30.9mm post though

It is a very difficuly subject and I worried about my son who is 5 now for a bit when he was about 2. He displayed some of the traits you described in particluar being with other kids and he got very fixated on things. My sister is severly autistic so I was worried at the time. It turns out he just needs to be comfortable in his environment and was a bit shy. He is at school now and doing really well still gets really into stuff though (bit like me and bikes).

Your boy could be fine he is still very young. As others have said it is a broad spectrum and you should look to professional advice to help with your concerns.

I have just changed my pitch with lyrics on for a Whyte t120s 2012 which I got for £1600. Early days but so far it’s really good in particular going down the twisty stuff and up. It is alot lighter and with the dropper, big bar, short stem it feels nice and stable. Actually think I may be quicker for the majority of downhills I do in the peak. Not sure about cavedale/beast but for the amount of times I ride them I decided less maybe more.

thanks for the sugegstions will give skf/mb a try, my post was more my annoyance that they have increased the cost by 100% and the bearings have lasted no longer stainless or not. Alot of people who can’t do them themselves will end up paying full wack at their LBS just seems a bit steep.
