Graham, have you seen Feedly? It has a more contemporary look and feel, and is really easy to use.

Genuinely funny people being naturally funny – a dying art in this country in recent years.

I reckon you’d pi55 yourself if any of those characters stumbled into your local. Not so if the likes of Miranda trundled in (she really should f€$k off and take her bullsh1t slapstick non-comedy with her).

I bought a pair of their sandal flavoured ones a couple of months ago (from Terra Plana(?) in Brighton). They assured me that running in them was perfectly doable but I can’t see it myself. Soft dry trails maybe, but hard/rocky/pebbly stuff is just painful. I go barefoot wherever I can so feel I have pretty tough feet. Others must be tougher.

There full on £100 jobbies get good reviews though. A possible rival to the Vibrams.

Is that a Regatta Splosh suit there Yunki? A particularly fine garment for throwing one’s little ‘uns outside in all weathers (and thus getting some respite) 🙂

£160 for guitar lessons (10 weeks)
    £80 football club fees
    £49 gym club fees
£100 down payment for school trip (£550 total @ £100 every six weeks)

I’m quite looking forward to that type of expense in a few years as the cost of childcare in these parts is brain-boggling.

Wasted two years of my live in Derby when I spent an afternoon there last week!

That’s some serious time travel there – existing for 712 days in the space of an afternoon!

Having snapped about four hangers in the past I always make sure to carry at least one as a spare. Sod’s law dictates your LBS (or nearest dealer at the time) doesn’t have stock and you’ll be waiting 2-3 days.

Sorry to hear that bwaarp. I’m not going to cast judgment on anyone in your example but will say that I have heard of vets making costly mistakes in the past. IIRC one of those led to someone’s dog being put to sleep when it really wasn’t necessary.

    Healing vibes.

Lake District … 3 night stay in a friend’s remote cottage* … middle of the second night … wailing banshee close to window … dog goes into hiding … middle of the third night … same wailing banshee immediately above one’s face … dog even more ballistic … chest of drawers turned over … time to leave.

You can fill in the gaps.

I tow monkey jnr in his Croozer along several stretches of payment (usually A roads) when traffic is heavy. Plenty of coppers have buzzed passed without issue.

Like others have said, I have no experience/knowledge but sincerely hope there’s a positive way forward with this. Have you checked out this dysplasia[/url] link? Second para states that dialysis may be needed early on in life. Not sure if this is exactly the same condition. Either way, I hope Mini Ox is not in discomfort and comes through without the minimum of hiccups.

Could be the Dirt Devils, although their ride list hasn’t been updated since 2011. I think it was Tue/Wed they used to ride up there.

Decent group – a couple of them are a bit cliquey but what that’s often par for the course. Don’t go if you’re slow though!

@Muke: I’ve asked the same question in previous threads as we’re looking to get an HD 2 Pro. Their promo vids are amazing yet all the YT/Vimeo clips are pretty unremarkable. Maybe it is a weather thing? Or perhaps file size/compression limits etc? If the latter, then I reckon for home use, ie.. showing off to family/friends, should be fine.

I’m probably going to get a Vimeo PRO account soon – not sure if it allows bigger/better upload quality/size etc. If so, maybe that’s the way to go online?

I don’t get the BK bashing on here or anywhere FTM. Ok, it’s not gourmet but as others have said, they’re more substantial AND taste better than most burger chains in the UK.

I always seek out decent burger stalls at farmers markets and country fetes etc, but have yet to sample anything that beats a good BK. Sad but true.

Society has been going to hell in a hand cart since two blokes got together and invented religion, and the hand cart,

Religion is just a side issue. We’ve a system riddled with problems due to family ethics, education, employment etc.

He might, but IMO there needs to be a return to make it worthwhile. I’ve no idea how salaries, prize money and sponsorship etc compare between men and women other than to assume the latter as exponentially more substantial than the former.

Buckle up, we’re gonna see this sh1t spiral ever more downward for another generation. No quick fixes. Just a big sh1t stain on society that we can’t escape. 🙁

This is just sh1t. I really hope your OH makes a speedy recovery in all depts. Someone has to be brought to account and hopefully banged up too.

Surely the car that was involved must also be in a bit of a state = worth a night or two loitering in the area at a similar time, given it was rush hour= driver may well follow the same route every day, at that sort of time? Same goes for potentially spotting the cyclists?

Is there any way you can follow up with local garages/workshops to see if that car has gone in for repair work? I guess they wouldn’t be at liberty to tell you anything unless they kind of sided with your story.

Glad to hear everyone had a grand day out.

    So much for my

No excuses seeing as there are trails thrown in for free.

quote last night: Sad turn of circumstances this morning meant I could only make it to the Priory kick-off followed by a quick XC blap to see them again on the approach to Leigh.

Decent turnout overall I thought. I’d like to think this type of ‘show’ encourages people to not only get out on their bikes but to also be more aware of us on the roads when in their metal boxes. Methinks not though.

    Yeah, shame about Bradders.

After watching the Olympic road races (men’s and women’s) and the time trial this might be one Surrey based race too far.

Same here. But it’s also right on my doorstep and something to be celebrated if only for an hour or two. No excuses seeing as there are trails thrown in for free.
