I build a compatible triple for about the same price as their single piggy back battery including an adapter you will need for charging with if you are interested.

If your building your own you will also need the charging adapter for charging the battery with (both your piggy back battery and charger are male connectors).

Cruz, the battery I posted you this week was plasti-dipped on the top and bottom, just helps seal the battery against the elements.

    Thanks Cruz,

The battery had been well looked after so it was all in good interest to keep you happy.

Keep it in the UK I say 8)

Graham Taylor was in front of me last week in the Post Office, (not biking but posting the days orders out so still bike related). Lovely guy, asked him to come back to the Villa to sort the mess out, He said ‘you gotta be kidding’ which we both laughed at.

Salad dodger, send me an email as I may be able to help you out with the battery & charger should you wish to convert your lights with Benz’s bits. A nice flood optic on the bars would compliment the V2 nicely.

Nothing quite beats building your own lights, but as others have pointed out the cheap Chinese imports are killing this. It wasn’t many years ago I was night riding using kitchen down lighters inside hair gel cans!

But please send me an email and I will see what I can do.

Coke bottle works a treat, but has to be fiizzy bottle to cope, with the pressure you need to use.

BUT, saw a thread yesterday using a Wilko 8L garden water sprayer for about £10 that will do for me from now on.. Cheap as chips, for the amount of time you will be using it.

    8) cheers,

I try my best to get light orders placed before 2pm out the same day (bar weekends and BH)posted First Class Recorded. I must also add a large part is also down to the Royal mail in this.

A new range of lights are also being designed as we speak that will be more orientated for helmet use. This will consist of a much smaller and lighter light unit along with a smaller/lighter battery. But this is a few months away at least. So all looking positive for mtbbatteries.

Mcleish[/url] admits villa are in a relegation battle? its been like that since he took over.
I reckon the game in hand will influence the rest of the season, Then again with Villa I can still see them pulling off a shock result .. Hopefully.

Cant see many season tickets being sold for next season if mcmuppet is still there though

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

I don’t read many books tbh. But the above had me hooked from the first to last page. Very funny in places with a few shocks thrown in too.

also, best to pop the batteries into the charger and THEN switch the charger on at the mains.

Li-Ion batteries don’t like being stored for long periods at 100% charge, this can give them a reverse memory effect to what you used to see with NiCads.

They are best stored for long periods at approx 50% charge state. Although the battery is not being used for long periods the protection circuit will still drain the cells within the battery, this may only be few millAmps as it monitors the battery as a whole but over time especially if it left in a low state of charge it can discharge the cells/battery below the end of discharge (low cut off voltage) limit and it may not recover when putting back onto its charger.

So best left in about 50% state of charge and used once a month for a few minutes and then put back on the charger for a few minutes to make sure everything is still good. Stored in a nice cool place is best but not in the fridge or freezer.

Whilst you are still using it faiirly regularly it is ok to keep it fully charged and just check the battery after each ride to make sure it’s not wet or damp from the ride.

Any questions please feel free to email me.

For a Li-Ion battery & charger you are looking at around £50-60.

One cheaper option would be to buy the AA holder and run an extension cable so it doesnt stick out of the back of the light so far and velcro it under the stem?

The connectors look like 2.1mm DC power types, I say look as I dont have one to hand to check with

If you go up the fire road around the back of the gliders club (into the woods) theres quite a few of those hidden trails and once you find one you will see they all kinda link into eachother 8) We found loads of stuff last year only for the Crossers to wreck them all on an enduro event! then what was sweet stuff became 1ft wide and 2ft deep!

Best way is go slowly when you get to the top of the woods and just look into the sides of the bushes for gaps, and tyre marks on the ground turning into the undergrowth.

Don’t know how to,link to a Facebook page but ‘search’ for ‘chase trails – follow the dog’ as there’s someone on there saying he had some guy flogging bikes down by the railway line by the monkey trail yesterday.

I know it was the day before, but may still be linked

How do you manage to secure it secure enough so it doesn’t wobble on your camelbak whilst running? Please feel free to email and I will try and help you out.

I was thinking about one for about 3 months and eventually gave in… And to be honest, well worth it, it’s instant switch on and go. Use the flipboard app loads. Once you get one, give yourself a few days to get used to it and you won’t regret it.
