    I had a 5d classic with a 24-105

I had the same combo, was amazing. Went for the 7d for the video capabilities over the 5dmk2 (work thing).

Sadly I just don’t like it as much. Takes a lot of work to get rid of the noise sometimes. I shoot RAW and use capture one pro 7. Does a good job. Have fun with your camera!

7d, good camera. However it can produce noisy images, and using a cheap lens will only add to this.

Look at the link below. Lots of good in depth reviews. For £100 expect a lens that won’t do your camera justice. When it comes to a lens spend as much as you possibly can. Why? Because a cheap lens means crappy image quality, a good lens is one you will keep for years and years. If you can’t afford L glass (The 7d really needs it)get the best you can.

    Or walk closer.

I have only stumpy experience, 2010 Elite model. Was an ace bike. Really depends on what you ride and if you think at some point you might want more from your bike.

Bit of extra travel will help you take bigger stuff faster but if that isn’t your thing and cash is an issue go Camber. It’s a sorted bike.

Is it up to the job? Yes!

Would I take a 120mm bike to Morzine again. No.

Might be a case of arranging a courier. This can be done for as little as £25 but they don’t offer any kind of insurance. I have posted bikes this way in the past and only when I have made the buyer fully aware that when the bike leaves my possession I can not be responsible for any problems.

All I can say is that from the point of my noticing the noise and sending it off the performance of the shock got worse. To the point where I found it hard to tell if it was open or on pro pedal. Still, I would not expect it to need a service after 4 months. Sounds like the joys of biking strike again.

I have a 2010 RP23 BV. Noticed it was making a squelching sound. Blew through the travel and just didn’t feel right. Sent it to Loco tuning last week.
Turns out nitrogen was in the oil, he used the term ‘cavitated’ when we spoke on the phone. I thought it sounded expensive but a service has sorted it. But yours is only 4 months old. Might be worth sending off for the sake of £75. Have to sing the praises of Loco while I am at it. Very good service.

Has the auction finished? If not sounds like the seller wants a cash deal outside of ebay maybe? To avoid fee’s by cancelling the after the buyer collects.

I always thought the guy was a bit of a tool.

Then he did a book signing at my ex’s book shop. His instructions to her were… towards the end of the signing tell the people waiting that it was over and he would not be able to sign anything else. At this point he would protest and say he had time to do a few more. In his words…”To make me look good”

    Yep. Tool.

I used to nail the niece of Paul Greengrass. Director of Green Zone, first Bourne ID. She is an anorexic nut job. Her gran had a pic of Matt Damon on her dresser. Beat that for weird.

I’m a fan of pasta the night before or for breakfast. Seems to work well. Also take plenty of water and a gel or too if it is a really long/hot ride.

I’m looking at some flats too. Really split between the Teva Pinner (good reviews) and the 5 10 freeride. Only £10 between them so leaning towards the freeride.

I’m using Tevas as they were a better fit than the 5-10s

I have heard the Tevas can be a bit on the slim side, have you found this?

I think I’ll get the Bike Hand kit and replace pieces when they wear out

I just got the same one. Pretty good kit and I think you can find it on Amazon for £27. At least it was a couple of weeks ago.

I can totally see the point of having the lightest bike possible if you race.
Or maybe you have bought something carbon and it comes in over what you expect and you want it down to a certain weight. Each to their own and that. I mostly ride with lighter riders that have lighter bikes but bike weight really does not have all that much to do with who gets up first. It’s fitness, strength and skill.
If I never gym it or bike much they crap on me. If I get it together and work out 4-5 times a week plus rides I crap on them.

It’s a planted bike for sure. You have it at a nice weight though.

    My spec is:

    2010 5
    RS 150mm -120mm DPC
Hope 2 evo Stans ZTR Flow Rim
    XT everything
    GD Turbo
    Elixir 5 barkes
    Maxxis Ignitor F&R

I have never had it on scales but expect it to be over 30lbs

What tires do you run, pitchpro2011?

I have always had 175mm on mtb’s. However reading various threads on the matter I would go to 170mm if I could get it at a much better price.

It seems many folk don’t notice much difference at that kind of change and it can help with clearance. However I have yet to try a different length!

I went out with a girl a while ago who was the same. If she wasn’t on Warcraft for 3 hours she was conducting our relationship via FB. It was stupid, we both sat in front of the TV on separate laptops not saying a word to each other until she got horny and we F’ed on the sofa. Then it was back to the laptops. Great days.
