Had something like this when I was travelling and saved my sunglasses a few times, all the rage with the antipodeans:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/GadgetpoolUK-Sunglasses-Glasses-Retainer-Strap/dp/B007CFCZRM/ref=pd_sim_sg_3

Edit: you can either get long ones to catch your glasses if they fall off or short ones to keep them on, make sure you get the short ones. Probably loads on eBay for £2

Difficult to choose a top three but some of my favourites are:

    Twelve Angry Men
    Kind Hearts and Coronets
    The Great Dictator

Watch the great dictator on YouTube for free:

Never had any issues, they’d have to be very loose to clash together. Can you buy or try out some non-finned pads? Might as well save the swanky ones for long summer descents.

One of the best things on TV, you are in for a treat at the end of season 4!

I think you can only convert to 9mm thru QR. Best check with DT themselves though.

No idea on that particular frame I’m afraid, but I found this very useful when I had to sort out a headset for my bike:

I’ve had the most success with winamp, you can import all your playlists from itunes and then sync from winamp with the app. Double twist worked for me briefly on my old phone but then stopped syncing properly. Tempted to try it again as it was very simple.

24 means you’ll spin slightly more and have lower torque for the same speed. Which I guess is better for your knee?

An 11-36 cassette will give you an extra gear to use, whilst an 11-34 will shift ever so slightly smoother and be slightly lighter. I’d go 11-36 if you’re on a double.

Thanks a lot, plenty to look at. It is for mountain biking, and I realise most of the singletrack won’t be marked but it would be good to have an idea of some off road routes in case we do get lost.

You could, but they’re supposed be to fitted once hence powerLOCK not powerLINK but you can get them off with a pair of pliers.

9sp links are not compatible with 10sp chains, so I have no idea why you think it works better?
SRAM 10sp chains do not use a “quick link”, they have a power-link which is not removable – perhaps why you think it works better?.

They are compatible, quite a few people use them and I haven’t heard of any problems. Shimano 10 speed chains are asymmetrical, which means the KMC links are a pain to get on as they’ve been designed for KMC symmetrical chains. Whilst the 9 speed Sram power-links are easy to get off and on and have no issues.

No it doesn’t matter, you’ve done it right.

    Worth getting some of these:

    http://www.merlincycles.com/bike-shop/road-parts/transmission/chains/sram-9-speed-gold-power-link.html

As you can remove your chain to clean it or are extremely useful for a quick mend if your chain snaps out and about. It says 9 speed but in my experience they work better than the 10 speed offerings and are cheaper.

I enjoyed it, don’t think Ledger hammed it up. This is where his performance came from:

What rims are they? I got away with just the tape and a valve cut from an old tube on mavic 717s

Wusthof are great knives if you don’t want to spend too much. Prefer them to the Sabetier set my girlfriend has.

Too many choices. I think apartments are out as we’re going from Geneva to Milan and trying to organise that in advance might limit us. Maybe 2 tents between us will be better, just got to find them.

Cheers guys, didn’t consider bleed kit or foil blanket. Think we’re best trying to find a low weight 5/6 man tent.

Were they all made in Taiwan? I’ve never checked the serial. Unfortunately the only things British on it are the middleburn rings and hope bb

Obviously not for everyone and not for every bike but I got sucked up in the Olympic spirit/marketing. I think it works on my old steel silver p7:

    The Microsoft Surface looks promising:

Not many details yet and probably not out until the end of the year, but if it’s running office they could be on to a winner.

Ritchey are worth considering, their layback version looks better than the Thomson kink design in my opinion. Clamps are well designed also.

Looks good to me, weight in a better place and less maintenance, just need to get the compatibility sorted. I think if it’s less than an xtr/saint drive-train they should have enough takers to get them going.

I used the yellow tape, a valve cut from an old tube and 1 cup of sealant on schwalbe tyres. Rear went up fine with a track pump and soapy water but I needed a compressor for the front. Front was a new nobby nic, and I’m guessing would have gone up slightly easier if I’d gone for a ride on it to get out the packaging folds.

Just did the exact combination on the weekend, and it seems to be holding after going for a short blast. I only applied Stan’s rim tape to the wheel and cut an old valve from an inner tube. Make sure you cut most of the rubber away, but leave enough to stop it from pulling through. Do the nut up on the valve tight, otherwise air will leak here. I used one and half cups of sealant and loads of soapy water and it went up with a floor pump after a few flips of the wheel and soapy water.

I’m running a 9 speed sram powerlink on a 10 speed xtr chain and it works absolutely fine.

I wasted money buying a kmc 10 speed specific link for the sram chain I had previously. I then got a shimano chain and the 10 speed kmc link was a right pain to get on, ended up bunging a 9 speed link on the 10 speed shimano chain and it’s been fine ever since.

The Osprey Raptor is very good, great hydration system (maybe the best?) but I do get a sweaty back with it and you have to pay extra for a waterproof cover. The deuter AC pack I was using had a handy waterproof cover in the bottom and cooled my back very nicely but it doesn’t come with an hydration pack and isn’t officially a mtb bag but was good none the less. Both very good bags so I’d try to have a look at the two of them in the flesh if possible.

The castle is very nice to look at, but the museum inside is poor.

Woah! Did you not see the 3000+ teapots they have on display?!

As above Fat Cat is a must if you into real ale or world beer. Avoid Prince of Wales Street but the rest of Norwich city centre is very nice.

Easton ec70 or ec90 if you’re feeling flush?
