Pretty sure Lumicycle will sell the dogbone link separately, they had it on the site the last time I looked.

Well that is another day that has just flown in but the good great news is they are both home 😀 they were released on the condition that we bought a breast pump on the way home so it has not been a cheep day but every penny spent has been worth it. The little lady is taking a wee while to get used to her new surroundings but mum is looking a lot more relaxed.

Depends on the threads on the frame. Road bikes can come with English or Italian threaded BB’s mountain bike BB’s are all English threaded. You will probably need a new centre tube as the mountain bike one will be to long.

Oh I have a little bottle of Moët in the fridge but we won’t be able to enjoy that until mummy has finished with her pain meds 😥

Cheers for the advice and kind words guys, looks like I am doing the right stuff. Going to get to the shops today and get some flowers for the house. If I get a chance I’m going to try and get to the polish shop and get her some of her favourite sweets and biscuits.

It is funny how you mention marshalling friends and family, we were just chatting last night that in a way we have been quite lucky that our families can’t just doorstep us unexpectedly.

I’m off for a while need to do another load of washing and Hoover before I go up and visit for 9am.

boxxer7 very best of luck with yours. Intensive care has not been required for ours so i can’t imagine what you have been through.

She did come a little early so i have had a couple of mates round to help get all the stuff we got down from the loft and build the cot. I spent most of today rushing around getting a lot of stuff done that we had organised prior to the birth (plumber, car service etc). Flat looks like a Chinese laundry with baby’s and mummy’s clothes. Tomorrow will be hoovering and tidying and organsing when i am not up at the hospital with them.

For all those that have just bought the HiLo. When installing the remote use a high quality Teflon coated cable and you will have a much smoother action.

looks good that does, needs blue hubs though 😉 think your next upgrade should be some blue pro 2 evos on flow or arch ex rims.

The last bike delivery i got from city link was excellent, granted it was a 2-3 years ago but it was just before Christmas. I had a half day and thought i’d have a good chance of being in when it was delivered however i was not.

The delivery guy left his number on the card so i called him and he was about 2-3 miles away on another delivery. After the delivery he was on he came back with mine about 15 minutes after i called him. I have never had that from any other courier.

I have a Mira Sport 8.5kW shower, this has been faultless in the last 3 years i have used it. I believe it has been installed for approx 6 years now so am going to presume it has been fine since then.

It looks a lot like this one. I have not searched for prices so don’t know if this is competitive or not.

Sorry mate no real advice as such, just sympathies. Sounds like a tough situation to be in, obviously you need the property to work for you but also it must be hard to evict a family with no where to go.

Sounds like you have your head on strait and seeking legal advice really will be your best bet with this.

I haven’t read all the posts however the problem you will come across is storage of energy for use when the sun is not out.

For home use I would imagine that a substantial proportion of people would be in the same boat as me requiring their power early in the morning and then in the evening when for a fair proportion of the year it is still dark. This means you need to be able to store the power created by the solar panels during daylight hours till you need it and to store such significant quantities of energy will take up a large amount of space.

The hope bearings are a slightly different size from the ones used in Shimano BB’s.

The only direct replacements i have come accross are the Enduro ones as mentioned above.

See link below to ebay for some

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Enduro-External-MTB-Bottom-Bracket-BB-Replacement-Spare-Bearings-Kit-Hope-UK-/150976962535?pt=UK_sportsleisure_cycling_bikeparts_SR&hash=item2326ed9fe7

Enduro bearings are high quality bearings.

I have a pair of Lumi halogen cans converted to LED with the Trout heatsink/LED packages and 830mA drivers from BCT. I wired them up with 3 position switches readily available from Maplin.

If you are struggling for wiring my email is in my profile i can draw you a sketch and see if i can get a pic of how mine are wired. Not had a problem with heat with my setup.

Oh, and at the moment my reception comes though a sky satellite dish, which connects to a sky box, which connects to the TV. Would I still need to do that? (I don’t use paid for sky packages)

To remove the Sky box you would need to look at a TV with a FreeSat tuner. This is different to a FreeView tuner which is for signals from an ariel rather than a dish.

The big 3 brands of Samsung, Sony and Panasonic are normally a safe bet, Richer sounds are good for pricing and that samsung linked in the second post lookls to be pretty much spot on.

    What side bolts?

Could you not just trim the metal lip with a junior hack saw and a pair of pliers to bend it out of the way?

OP, i also got screwed over by Kwik-Fit. See THIS thread from a few months ago.

They are a royal PITA to deal with and it would appear have a deny everything policy.

The only other thin i can think it could be that has been touched on above is that you get 2 common size of bush, 12mm which are from memory for RockShox and Manitou shocks and then 12.7mm (half an inch) for Fox etc. Are you sure you are using the correct bush for the shock?

Hadn’t realised the bearings had changed to stainelss for the evo, sorry. When I bought one it was just the hub shell I was getting as I had everything else already.

From my very limited understanding of 3d printers the size issue would be a considerable one.

They print the object by layering up very very thin layers bonded to the previous ones. Trying to print such fine layers over a large area like a car panel would need a massive printer and some kind of stabising element to the print head to try and prevent distortion.

£165 is very spendy, have you tried Si at locotuning? I would have thought you would be able to get a u-turn spring and top cap assembly for about half that from him and if you felt confident then fit it yourself.

I couldn’t find a way to get to the bearings in my BB to press/knock them out however if you do, there are lots of spare on CRC.

I don’t know if the design has changed slightly over time?

The BB can be replaced with any hollowtech II bottom bracket. I currently have a hope one and a CK one on my raceface cranks and both are better than the race face one.

The hope one is well sealed and you can but bearing for it in the future if need be rather than replacing the whole thing.

Lumicycle do an extension cable you could just chop in to.

I’m sure there will be plenty of others for magicshine lights out there.

Have you tried smudge at mtbbatteries ?

I had a similar problem with a Bulb hub a while back. Turned out to be a bearing not seated properly. It was a real pig to get it set right.

If the wheel is not built then i would suggest heating the hub up and cooling the bearing to ease fitment.

Not too clued up on the rules for HOMO properties but if you have correspondence with the 2 good tenants you could go to them and explain the situation and issue a S21 to them ALL and then set up a new lease for the good guys.

If the silicone is black the only thing I have found to rectify this is to replace the silicone. When you replace it go for the good stuff, this is really one of thoes situations where if you buy cheap you will buy twice and it is total PITA to scrape out the old silicone. To scrape it out i have found the window scrapers you get with stanley blades in them to work well.

To prevent the mould coming back better ventilation is required, but what i have also found to help is a quick wipe down of the screen and tiles with a window squeegee to get the worst of the water off the walls.

For grout i have had sucess with asda 19p bleach and an old tooth brush and scouring pad. Thin bleach works fine and as long as it is not coloured it should do the trick.

    Jack,

Great car, fantastic garage. I would love to have a garage/workshop like that one day, the ingenuity of storage and work areas is brilliant. I can see myself referring to your thread and pictures for a long time to come.

    Oh and welcome to STW.
