I would say 50% of users on here order from there, usually about 3-4 days delivery time.

What colour is the rock you’ve been hiding under for the last couple of years?

Sounds bad and like more than just robbery. Assault/ mugging etc. hope plod takes it seriously

Section 8 of the Theft Act 1968 “a person is guilty of robbery if he steals, and immediately before or at the time of doing so, and in order to do so, he uses force on any person or puts or seeks to put any person in fear of being then and there subjected to force.”

On a sale of offences Robbery pretty much is the top of the tree, carries a maximum sentence of life in prison. It’s the technical name for a mugging and is usually investigated pretty well (it is where I Police, anyway), especially when the item stolen is of such high value and an assault has actually taken place (rather than just a threat).

Hope they catch the toe rags

The publicised routes are really good but there’s loads more cheeky stuff to be had Robbie, a lot of the singletrack in the Plantations isn’t marked or that well known so it’ll be pleasure to show you some of our jewels (oo er!)

Hi Robbie, I live down in Port Erin just a few miles away, I’m working early in the week but will be free Wednesday morning if you fancy coming out for a spin on some local trails, give me a text nearer the time 07624434863

Great car, and yes it’s the same engine as the ST. I’m a rozzer in the IOM constabulary and our traffic division has one, we did our driving training in it and safe to say if I could afford one I’d have one…smooth ride, spacious, fast as hell and practical. Look the business too. Do it!

No practising tonight here either, low cloud and wet all the way round so clerk of the course called it at about half six. Forecast a bit better for rest of week, really sad about last night’s tragedy

I had a pair on a few weeks ago but have taken them off as I found the outer collar hurt the outside of my hands. Used Renthals on my trials bike for years and loved them but have gone back to a pair of Bonty lock ons with only one collar and a sealed end, also means you can hang the grip off the end of the bar an extra 10mm

Only to about 15/20 psi if you’re lucky

A vice and sockets or some dedicated press parts is more reliable/safe than hammering them out, you don’t want to start ovalising the frame parts. Threaded bar and washers/nuts are also handy if you’ve not to access to a vice

Neil’s talking about me by the way, dashing to get home for the Tesco man and not sparing the horses, bike wasn’t strapped down properly .

Happened the same day as my XTR trail pedals failed too XTR pedal thread

Safe to say I’ve had better days :D

What Tom said, happened to mine a few months ago but no issues with the warranty, was a PITA getting off the hill with only one foot in though.

Lovely light pedals, smooth bearings, bling looking. I see it as every time they fail I get a replacement pair and a free pair of cleats!

Does anyone know if they’ve addressed the issue with the axles?

I’ve suffered with it for about 5 years, and aside from serious attacks when I’ve been very anaemic and struggled to get out of bed (apart from when having to dash for shit, obviously :-) ), its got to help.

There’s nothing better than getting out for a spin to de-stress and work up a sweat. A bit of bog roll in the back pocket never goes a miss though

Yep. Went from a Spesh stumpy with 140mm of travel to a P7 with Pikes and really regretted it, never realised how much I relied on my rear suspension, especially at speed.

Eventually bought a Remedy then a Rumblefish, don’t think I’d ride a HT again

Go with 24-38 front XT chainset and 11-36 rear for a 29er, you won’t have any issues

I had this exact problem with my Reverb bought from Bikediscount.de a few weeks ago. Emailed Fishers warranty and they told me to send it back through my LBS. Most bike shops if not all have a Fishers b2b account, fortunately I’m friendly with mine so it wasn’t an issue. As long as you’ve not really pissed off yours in the past, pay for postage and maybe show an interest in some stock items they have in when asking them, I can’t see them getting too shirty with you.

    Biscuits always help :D

    Can I have two?

Chasms trail, Isle of Man and the last descent back in to Port Erin off the back of Mull Hill. Been riding these for 5 years and never seen them running so fast and dusty. Two wheel drifts and kicking up clouds of dust in our wake, mega little local loop :D Shame it’s pissing down today :(

racingsnail, nothing as yet, they just said send it back for inspection. Been about 5 days so far

I had a problem with mine last week whereby it developed ‘sag’ when fully extended. It basically would compress an inch in any position and have ‘squish’ rather than sitting solidly at the stopped position. I bled it numerous times then checked the pressure (schraeder valve under seat clamp accessed using a socket) and it showed the recommended 250psi. No success unfortunately so I emailed Fishers warranty dept through their website and they got back to me straight away. They asked me to send it back for inspection via my LBS despite me having bought it from Germany. Still waiting for it back or a replacement at the time of writing.

The moral of this rather long and convoluted story is bleed it, check the pressure and if all else fails, email Fishers Outdoor Leisure and I’m sure they’ll sort it. They’ve always been very good at warranty stuff in my experience (I suppose dealing with SRAM they’d have to be!)

    Hope that helps

Unfortunately not, that’s the first time I’ve ever seen or heard of them but just know a bit of background about the last couple of generations of Shimano brakes

Thanks for the suggestions folks, a pair of the Spesh Demos from Cyclestore seem to be the best offer at the minute, had a pair of them before and they were excellent.

The Sugoi Hans are going to be a little small for me but thanks somafunk

I’ve got a pair of Campag ones that I never use if you want, can send pics later (just out on bike now). Only used once

Could do them for £25 posted, email me if interested, in profile

It’s meant to say 2012 or later, Ispec only happened with the latest generation of Shimano levers so anything M775 like or earlier wont work.

Basically if you have the new style Shimano brakes XTR, XT, SLX, Deore or Saint and a matchmaker compatible SRAM shifter, these will fit

Bought it off here 2nd hand about 1 year ago. Not sure how old it is, I suppose I could give fisher and email or ring.

Pretty sure I know how that conversation is going to go

No difference, just use KMC ones as they are reusable as opposed to the SRAM 10 speed links which are as tricky as trying to split the atom to get apart

I’m a short ass 5ft 8in and the 17.5 in fits me perfectly, I’m quite lucky usually in that medium bikes suit me well. That’s more than can be said for when I try to buy jeans….nobody makes 29in inside leg decent jeans any more! Bastards!

I haven’t got a picture Dougal but they fit fine, they actually come up a little smaller than the Bonty XR4s that came on the bike from new. Safe to say they’re a mega tyre, I got mine from bike discount for an absolute steal

This is my 2012 Elite version which I’ve managed to pimp up since I got it new about a year ago, got it at a good price from the shop i used to work at and have upgraded bits as they’ve worn out. Recent additions include the Reverb Stealth (with home made routing) and the forks which are an upgraded version on warranty after the originals developed a fault.

Mine is built up pretty burly and I can safely say its the best bike I’ve ever owned or indeed ridden. Likewise though a mate has the same bike built up quite light and shows the weight weenies with lightweight carbon hard tails a clean set of heels in local races.

I’ve had some pretty decent Stumpy FSRs and a no expense spared Remedy in recent years and it blows them clean out of the water. It climbs steadily with no bob and downhill screams to be thrashed, can’t believe it’s only got 120mm of travel sometimes!

I would say if you’re inquisitive, have a ride on one and you won’t be disappointed

A very good point Messiah….spare remotes are extortionate!

I think what Dalesrider hasn’t fathomed is that when the lowers move up the stanchions during compression, the bridge slides up and the crown can be exposed lower than the bridge.

Yes the bridge/tyre relationship is constant but it is the potential contact with the bottom of the crown (around the area where the steerer joins) and possibly even the underneath of the down tube that could cause a face/trail meeting. When the slider section of the fork is as high as possible at full compression the bridge sits forward of the crown/head tube allowing for this exposure.

Is that a concise enough explanation? Not trying to be patronising either….although sometimes it just happens involuntarily :D

Are you asking or telling us? Reverb remotes are the same across the board, you’ll need a bleed kit though. I got my Stealth from Bikediscount.de a couple of weeks back, a few pence over £250 delivered with enduro collar and bleed kit. Those crazy Germans
