Pivots are relatively short in the top tube. Doesnt hinder them in the slightest. Some bargains about also.

Yeah, it slides through it as you drop the post with the excess appearing as a loop by the bars.

Without it (which is how I ran for years) the loop appears at the back, stressing the rear guide and buzzing the rear wheel as suspension compresses.
Re the hope seat clamp and the cable excess coming out at the bars – I guess the cable must be free to move through the additional mounts further up the frame?
All the reviews say that a reverb cable is really tight fit going through the ball on the clamp. Wouldnt this limit the excess cable to coming out above the clamp?

Been waiting to see us in a tournament for 30 odd years. I went to Bordeaux for the first game and to a man we just wanted us to score one goal in the group stage, something to celebrate (Welsh pessimism at its best). Out in Lille on Friday and there was just a feeling of incredulity after the final whistle. To come as far as we have, playing the way we have is the stuff of dreams. No idea what’ll happen tonight but I haven’t slept for two nights and can’t wait for a pint and kick-off. The whole country has taken to it and it’s nice to see rugby out of the limelight for a bit and the fans who have followed them through thick and thin getting their moment in the sun.
    C’mon Wales!!!!

It wasn’t at home on the blacks at bpw but was great on the blues. I took mine on a few uplift days – bpw, fod and regularly to s Wales dh spots and felt the lack of travel was limiting. Sold it for something more suitable to where I usually ride.

If youre getting someone to do it – try and make sure they change the damper seal head for the new upgraded one. I bled the damper and it felt great for a few rides but then started to feel iffy and needed another bleed. I ordered the Australian one. According to Fisher’s they wont be getting the RS upgraded ones for a few months.

Assuming you can cope with the crazy short reach.
On paper it may seem short but it didn’t feel like that. I’m 5’11” and tested the medium and that was rideable no bother. Bought a large tho :-)

Follow up to this – I bought the frame two months ago after demoing one through Rush Cycles. Colin the owner is great to deal with, sorting out the fitting of the invisiframe and giving me a great deal on the price. Building up was “fun” with loads of head scratching trying to get the cable routing done. I followed the cross over the shock as pivot recommend with a bit of Velcro to protect the shock body. Went for a large at 5’11 and it fits great with 50mm stem. It definitely isn’t one of the new long top tube geo bikes but is in no way cramped. I rode the medium as a test and that felt ok so it doesn’t feel as short as the numbers suggest. The dw link is second to none IMO. Fsr bikes I’ve owned felt too active to me. Vpp I just couldn’t get on with. I was never sure what the suspension was doing – like I was always trying to second guess it. The dw link gives the support for pedalling while allowing it to be loaded when needs be. I reckon this gives the bike it’s playful feel and it feels like you can move it around the trail at will. Always feel in the right spot on the bike you never feel to far back for a sudden climb or too far forward for a descent. Downhill it handles as much as I can. Really comfortable ride too. It’s weird but I just don’t have that beat up feel after riding it. Makes you want to ride all day. All in very happy with not a single bit of buyers remorse.

I’ll second the mach 6. Speak to Colin in rush cycles. Can be had for a lot less than the Santa Cruz and the dw link works better than the vpp IMO. Does every type of riding with very few compromises up, across and down.

Weight loss follows an exponential curve? You are in the lag phase. It will take a few weeks for your body to adjust and enter the exponential phase when the majority of the weight loss will take place. Maybe?

The gap between the linkage should be just enough for the shock body (eyelet) 2 rubber seals and 2 metal spacers. Did you find it was a tight fit when you put the shock and mounting hardware into the gap before putting the bolt thru? The space you’ve got there where the du bush has come out looks more than the width of a rubber spacer. I’d be thinking wrong size mounting kit or bent link.

You could make a decent off road route on the other side of the valley. Taff trail to bpw. Follow the uplift fire road but do not take the sharp left. Carry on the fire road and climb upwards when the fire road splits further on. You’ll end up on top of the mountain between Merthyr and aberdare above the village of heolgerrig . Follow the ridge north until you meet the heads of the valley road near what used to be called baverstocks hotel. There is a fire road to the left of the hotel that goes past some gas tanks and takes you over the mountain and through a wood to the south of the llwyn onn reservoir. From there to garwnant

Riser bars are the thing to try. What’s the rise on the ones on there? There seems a larger diff between saddle height and bar height compared to your other bikes.

Harrowing stuff. It definitely needs to be seen though and not hidden away. The fact that people knew this was happening and didn’t do anything is the frightening thing for me. Then again they did make the locals tour the camps, perhaps they didn’t know the extent of it?

There’s a lovely original colour one on pb in large great nick and spec starting at £900. I love 5 spots and having sold 2 second hand I’d say yours is overpriced, quirky size and colour. It’s a discontinued model and unfortunately is probably looked on as old skool. Drop the price and take the knock

Offst bushes should get you about 5-7mm off the i2i. I do that to ‘reduce’ a 200x57mm to about 190x50mm on the FSR.
    POSTED 15 MINUTES AGO #

Doesn’t that give you 190 x 57 tho as the stroke remains the same.
