    DJs that couldn’t mix

it wasn’t about the mixing in the early days, most came from the rare groove and funk scene, I used to go to the Holloway’s Special Branch nights, where Tong and Giles started off, then it all kicked off big time, you know the rest.

My 6 year old son, ok it’s not XX1 but it’s SRAM, he wants Shimano XT triggers like Daddy. :wink

Edit: on a serious note I’d be interested too, I love the simplicity of it.

Yep, I’ve been playing with korg gadget and electribe. Gadget is amazing, great sequencer and drum programming is very easy.

I wouldn’t hold too much hope in graphics /frame rate improving greatly in future games.

The current generation seem to be happy with minecraft anyway

Tough, if it was anything like the Eastbourne end of SDW couldn’t get any shelter from the wind, never seemed to be behind me, good work out.

Totally agree with mboy, and Steve Worland. I’ve now replaced my Hilo dropper with a carbon post and gone shorter on the stem and wider strut bars, feels perfect now.

@notmyrealname – I’m in Surrey and East Sussex most weekends, I have the large 29er. I’ll be night riding over Leith at some point in the next few weeks, you’re welcome to come a take a look.

I would say yes, it’s both trail and XC, Might be worth dropping Dom at Kinesis a tweet regarding rigid fork and singlespeed. Mine is set up with a Fox 32 120 CTD, it’s designed for 100-130. I’m also running 2 x 10 XT with praxis works adapter and rear a direct mount XTR Shadow, gear change is super snappy. The bike is super stiff at the rear and really shifts when you put your foot down, I’m 6ft 4 and have the 29 large, it’s really compact with great standover height. I plan to be riding races and all day epics on the Sync this season. The detail on the frame is pretty special too from the chunky brake mounts, cloverleaf top tube and head tube.

Can you tell I love this bike?

Yep, you mean North Downs, pretty much same conditions as South though, chalk, mud and flint, you’re up and down hills a lot, I’d get some mud tyres on, I’m running mud x rear and spesh storm control front still.

‘It’s never too late to have a happy childhood’ taken from credits of Trailnotes film (I think)

I’m over 40 and have a pimped up purple Zoo York skateboard, a long board, bauer turbos with krytonics and tempted to buy an off road scooter.

Rewski, that was meant at you.

I’d rather not say, not cheap though. Very popular breed at the moment, especially the red ones… apparently.

Another Ti Sync owner here, I absolutely love it, stunning bike to ride and look at.

    @mattjg

it’s a lot more flighty than I expected

I know what you mean, the geo does sit you forward (as the late great Steve Worland mentioned in his ST review, a great review btw, issue 84 if you’ve not read it) I’ve changed to wider strut bars and shorter stem and it’s transformed the ride no end, it’s still very lively but I feel more confident, I’ve also lost the dropper and gone for a carbon post, the ride is very smooth for a HT, my other ride is a 140 AM, but the Sync is my go to bike though.

Agreed, especially on a sunny day, like sitting in warehouse lock up, great beer though. The Old Red Cow and The Rake are my regulars.

A few more to get you started… Pressure Drop Bosko, Beavertown Gamma Ray – my current favs.

@ jackthedog – cheers buddy, appreciate your wise words, that’s kind of where I’m at the moment, I don’t have enough time to ride my bike at the moment, let alone fix a leaky radiator. I might look into renting a 68 Nova or something similar in the summer. Cheers

@ wwaswas – that sounds like a perfect set up if you have the money
