Mtbs, front wheels off and hanging from hooks in the ceiling.
Road bike hanging by front wheel from a hook in the ceiling.

Trouble is I’ve got another couple of bikes in an asgard shed In the garden.

Can’t you find space in your plans for a bike cupboard?
    I’ve got a 3′ x 5’6″ cupboard in the house that I can fit 3 mtbs & 1 road bike in.

    I got it when I was 17.
The first of the spots appeared on my John Thomas😲
That made for very painful mornings.

I did that to a set of isis turbines too.
I stood up to power up a hill and ping, driveside crank snapped in two.
I got an updated set of x-type deus cranks with bottom bracket under the lifetime warranty.
I needed proof of purchase to claim the warranty through the shop I bought them from.

    Nope.
I had an XT pedal axle shear at the nut.
The 2 pairs of M520’s have been out lasted the XT’s by a long way.

How much of that is tied up with Boris I’ve no idea, but I’m guessing its not just 20 quid.

    About 2 million quid

are the Uberbike pads any good.

    Not in my experience.
Tried the E-bike/endurance ones and the squealed like a pig when they got hot. The stopping power was ok but I couldn’t stand the noise.
I went back to Hope standard pads

Why should you have to fix someone else’s mess?
Don’t pay them until they come back and do it properly.

My Topeak D2 was good enough until it died after years of use.
There’s a ribbon cable between the head and the body & 2 out of 4 wires broke.
Replaced it with an SKS Airchecker which I don’t find as easy to use.

Out of the two I’d go back to a D2 but go easy on twisting the head back & forth.

You see why your mates hands are useful!

If you miss the punch with the BFH you don’t get mashed fingers. Your mate on the other hand….😁

What’s the score with families being kicked off the estate?

gamekeepers, gardeners, farming and domestic staff, who were employed by the previous owner, have been laid off and the properties they lived in put up for sale.

I’ve had a betd one go like that. I did **** it of a rock though.
Given the mechanism of damage I’m not surprised it snapped like that.
I’d just buy another ebay one tbh.

If you want to complain to a regulatory body it’s IPSO for the Daily Heil not OFCOM.

Check on Fixmystreet.com to see if the holes had been reported

Some councils (Fife for example) don’t accept reports from 3rd party sites.

    All done, all outside.
Today’s ride was a bit of a joyless grovel. Not helped by forgetting my water bottle and having to turn back to get it after 15 minutes. It was raining when I started off, I got my layering wrong and was overheating after about 45 minutes.
    512km I total.
    Glad it’s all over.
    Until next time.

I use a go & made a cosy out of bubble wrap & gaffa tape, keeps it hot when brewing inverted outside.
Brew it strong & add water is the way to go.
I don’t bother with a metal filter, extra faff and I broke it by being ham fisted😮

Sitting at 210km after today’s 50km ride in the pissing rain so on target.
Got a 95km planned for tomorrow, I’ve run out of chamois cream and my bum is sore!
Forecast looks OK for tomorrow compared to the rest of the week.

I’ve been informed I have to go to the in-laws tomorrow afternoon.
MIL & AIL compete to see who’s vapid conversation can be loudest.
BIL will bicker with everyone, the level of severity depending on how many arsehole tablets he had for lunch.
Mrs_H is on day 2 of a row of night shifts and won’t have slept properly & I’ll be in a mardy because tomorrow afternoons forecast is good and I won’t be out on my bike.

They aren’t always dressed in red coats
    “FIFE FOXHOUNDS COVID-19 GUIDANCE
…… Hunting Dress – For the time being, the Hunting Office recommends that there should be no red coats on the Hunting field. Public perception is crucial at this time of national sensitivity – we therefore advise that Hunt Staff and followers should not wear red coats. Packs with larger mounted fields, those in the public eye or those with a larger anti presence, should also consider asking their followers to remain as low key as possible and continue to hunt in tweed or ratcatcher. This is an evolving situation and will be kept under constant review.”

Just fitted a set of sks 28″x 57mm bluemels to my sonder al camino.
    Loads of clearance.
Dead easy to fit this time, unlike fitting the 35mm versions to my Trek road bike😱
