    except itunes

If you want to buy the films then yes, they have a good selection of latest releases.
However their rental selection is as bad as Netflix and Lovefilm, if not worse.

None of the online services have a decent selection of the latest films. Must be because the distributors won’t let them have them. Still trying to keep the DVD market alive I guess.

Anyone tried putting 650b wheels on their 26″ wheel bike? If so how are the clearances?

I think the coaster brake is great for kids under 5 as their hands are pretty small. They seem to make the switch to normal brakes pretty easily when the time comes.

I’d go with 16 inch wheels if you can – keep them on 12″ wheels for longer if necessary

The Specialized Hotrock 16 is a great bike, and due to it’s low-slung frame design it actually has a lower standover height than many 14″ wheel bikes when the saddle is at it’s lowest position.

Note that the final price drop has now happened. The prices will not drop further, but will remain as they are until monday.

The Mi:Tech Pinion bikes have been discussed on here before if you want to know more about them:

If she stays with BMX she needs to improve her riding skills, not her strength or fitness.

I think you are right there Mike. Seems like she raced so little in the build up to the games that the others all had an advantage over her there.
I wonder if British Cycling or whoever looks after Team GB cyclists took a conscious decision to try to avoid injury in the run-up to the olympics and focus her training in the gym instead. If so then big mistake.

i had to make do with a grifter

Me too! My dad said small wheeled bikes were too dangerous… 🙁

I am getting my revenge now though by pretty much forcing my son to ride a BMX… 🙂

Was at the race yesterday and it was an awesome spectacle. Can’t wait for the finals, unfortunately have to watch that on TV though instead.

Didn’t we have the chance to enter two men in Olympic BMX though, but BC chose to enter only one? That’s the way I heard it anyway.

Surprised there is no high end 853 option.
Also surprised they are dropping the 26″ wheel Latitude completely.

Do manufacturers lose more sales by having rack mounts than gain them by having them?

I would say probably yes. It would put me off.

Yep, 13:30 BST tomorrow according to the Dirt site.

So who do we think will win this one then??

Any of you Kona experts know what year they first started putting disc brake mounts on their frames?

I used to have one of these and I loved it. Only got rid of it as I wanted a dropper seatpost. I still miss it though, wish someone would come up with a dropper/suspension combined design.

    Back to the original topic…
I caught a few minutes of this program last week and was highly amused by the bit where the woman had to explain what tax was as they had never heard of it!

Thanks for the info Mr P.
Just checked the Madison site and they want £4 for them… bit much.
Anyone got a spare? Happy to pay for it.

Just had a brainwave and checked the shimano website technical documentation…
The 9 speed spacer is 2.56mm and the 10 speed one which I need is 2.35mm.
    Thanks anyway

thanks very much for the offer, that would be great. However, I doubt they can be the same can they? Surely 10 speed ones must be ~10% thinner than 9 speed ones in order to fit the extra sprocket…?

The idea of queuing in a line of cars while waiting for a light to change is frankly ridiculous, I find it hard to believe that anyone does it and I can’t say I’ve ever seen anyone do it on my commute.

Slackline is also full 853 isn’t it? Where the new BFe is 853 and chromo

Slackline has 853 main triangle and BFe has 853 downtube.

How come there isn’t a load of hate for drivers?

Because the vast majority of people are drivers and the vast majority of those drivers occasionally speed, use their phone, jump red lights etc.

Why is the cyclist always the bad guy in this? Pedestrians are constantly crossing roads when their light is green (or at places where there is no light at all) and no-one ever says they shouldn’t be doing it.

wouldn’t the chain line be stupid too?

I believe the chain line is no different to a 1×10 or 1×9 setup since the freehub body is the same width.

All in I think this looks like a great groupset.
The suggested price is an utter joke of course, but then again they always are on new stuff. I’m sure next year we will see a cheaper version.
I really hope shimano do something similar soon…

The time to market of new Hope products is ridiculous. As a company that does all their design, prototyping and manufacture in-house you would expect them to be one of the fastest in the industry, not the slowest.
As someone said above, by the time this product is available it will be out of date.

Definitely take lots of food and drink in as it’s expensive inside.
You can take extra booze in by smuggling it in soft drink bottles, they don’t check that sort of thing.

Medium cage is more than enough. In fact you can even run a short cage mech if you don’t have any gears on the front, even if you are using a wide range cassette such as an 11-36.

He actually now has a dialogue with the Hurtwood ranger and has permission to fix up alot of the legacy trails.

Organising illegal races without the permission or the ranger sounds like a great way to undo all that good work.

What’s the difference between SLX and XT rear mechs these days? Shadow+ or otherwise. They look almost identical, weigh almost identical, but SLX is a good bit cheaper…

I’m sticking with Minaar and Hart for my big hitters. Was tempted to draft in Sam Hill but my cheaper guys weren’t performing so I decided to get rid of them instead.
    What is everyone else changing?
