Dyfi is normally the first May Bank Holiday weekend

The trails are all weather so absolutely fine, no ponding etc.

There is a detour at the moment as the first section is closed off (from the climb out of the car park all the way to the bottom of the first descent + a bit more). Basically it’s a fire road climb up to rejoin the short climb before the pumpy section. Sorry I’m rubbish with the section names!

The best thing they could do would be to randomly have sprinklers on some parts of the circuits

That was one of Bernie’s ideas only a few years ago

Howies Dyfi? Only available in black now I think though but it does have some reflectivity in it.

Surely when receiving an order over the phone, the distributor would ask for a shop reference number or an order code or something??

My Five currently comes in at 29.3lbs with RS Revs, 1×10, Reverb and EN521/Hope wheels. Have just switched 2″ Mud-X tyres for the winter and am running them tubeless but in the summer with tubed Conti 2.4″ tyres, it was a hair over 30lbs.

All ok on the Planet X site (including On One frames) 8)

Ooh, don’t forget the new Genesis one too – High Latitude LT

18Bikes had it listed the last time I checked.

Doh! Scratch the Zen off the list, for some reason I thought it was available as a frame but it doesn’t look like it.

    It is for 2014

    Mavic EN521 – rear wheel

I’m a lightish rider, physically and ride-style wise but I do do give it beans on the descents which can be quite rocky locally. Not too afraid of hitting mid sized jumps and drops either.

At least you can opt out. Unlike Facebook, which will show your name and photo against products you’ve never ‘liked’

Steve – PB’s got the same waterproof Convert as me. I keep mine for MTB and rarely wash it, so it doesn’t get used for commute! Good jacket though, hence why the softshell appeals.

Woodlikesbeer – My current commute waterproof is a Nightvision. Again, good jacket and mine’s lasted about 4 years but it’s lost its waterproofness now (re-proofing only lasts a heavy rain shower or two) and I fancy/need something different

Variflex – I’ve got the Howies Dyfi. It’s alright but not waterproof enough, even for a light shower (though admidetly some Nikwax would probably improve it). Living in Cornwall and reasonably high up means short, sharp, heavy showers are pretty common! In contrast, I wore an old hiking softshell riding home this week in a heavy shower and kept me dry, but was too warm.

    Cheers all.

Am going down the accessories-only C2W route. Genuinely need some new commutery-type kit so got some things on my list to get. LBS are a good bunch so I’m not trying and buying elsewhere!

I’ve had a waterproof Convert for a few years so appreciate the sleeves off thing therefore the softshell version does appeal. Will take a look at the Wind chill too…

Can’t J just stick her phone on ‘airplane mode’ to let the battery last longer?

Otherwise, Sony Walkman series. Think they are Android powered now too.

Sold a bike to Cleopatra which she didn’t like. She kicked off big time.

    Could that be it?

Panaracer CG soft condition comes in at 2.35 IIRC, tread looks similar to a MudX but I aint not never ridden the Panaracers so can’t tell you if they’re as good.

Wiggle[/url] are doing a BOGOF on these at the movement.

Timely is good. Not sure if you can customise the sound but comes with a load of good ones to wake you a bit more naturally, rather than scaring the hell out of you!

You see a newish car for sale for £2-3000 at the roadside and catch yourself thinking “hell that’s cheap, you could buy a bike for that!”

Have genuinely caught myself doing this a few times

Probably £1650 with the stealth Reverb. The FB post said £1500 as specced/shown.

So when do we see pics of the new MTB range, anyone know? Really like the sound of the High Latitude LT but can only find a sneak peak on the Genesis FB page.

Bold and clever?…nevermind one road bike, Cotic will cease producing mountain bikes and start making only road bikes to get in on the post Olympics/Wiggins/Froome road bike boom!
