I’ve got a Skyline and really like it. Have a look at my review on my blog, hopefully it helps give you an idea. :-)

Can’t help on size but also take a look at Cuda Bikes and their Performance series ( Linky ).

Just got a CP20 for my 6 yr old and it’s a nicely thought-out bike. Very impressed with it.

Have seen a pic somewhere with a strap-on ( ) attached to the top bar/seat tube brace.

Nice one Raymond, sorted it now. Thanks!

Despite my Google and YouTube searching, I’d not come across anything useful

Now…somehow need to get the old bearing off the spindle as that’s stuck on. It can wait til tomorrow now :-)

Yeah really liking the Skyline. Sits low and is stable and don’t really notice it. Wrote a review of it on my blog recently.

I asked this a few months back but I opted for a Skyline 10R instead.

I just couldn’t go ‘full enduro’ in the end

Happy with the photos on my new Nexus 5X – very good. Got mine on offer at Argos sim free, unlocked and 32gb model at £280, but as I work in local gov, used the Edenred staff discount to buy vouchers which brought it down to £260.

Using a knife to cut through a cable tie and sawing it from underneath upwards, with me leaning over looking down. Knife eventually slices through with the inevitable speed of light acceleration into my FACE.

It was only thanks to it being a rare day I was wearing my glasses that the nose bridge stopped me slicing my skull open.

    Idiot.

Have done 5 (Howies) Dyfi Enduros but doing the UK Gravity Enduro round there last year kind of ruined the Dyfi Enduro riding for me – so much better riding in the Forest than the samey straight, slate blasts I’d been used to (the UKGE stages were awesome).

Having said that, there’s a much better atmosphere at the more relaxed HDE than a proper race weekend, which is at least half the reason people do it!

Would like to have done this BES round, but usual cashflow issues meant I couldn’t. Having said that, that was a beast of a loop and in less than favourable conditions so quite glad I didn’t in the end!

I recently bought the Camelbak Skyline which comes with the tool wrap. The wrap’s got 3 zipped mesh pockets inside and I keep a multitool, zip ties, puncture repair stuff, tyre levers, chain links etc in. It closes with a quick release buckle-type thing which cinches down.

It’s good for keeping stuff together but any more than 2 bulky things in it like a multi-tool, C02 canisters and say a roll of electrical tape and you won’t get it to close.

I like it. Keeps all the medium-sized and little things together and you can easily transfer it between bikes/packs. No idea what it costs to buy separately to say whether it’s worth the price.

Thanks Darc, not come across that one.

Yeah, Google Blogger. Tried the code on that site but can’t seem to get it to work with my none-existent knowledge of code! Text in the guidance and example code doesn’t seem to be there when I try it.

Might need to do some learnin’ and teach myself the meaning of it all!

    Thread resurrection!

Golden State went 73-9 (WTF?!) and Kobe drops 60 in his final game! What a night for basketball fans!

Orlando sucked again this season, but not quite as much as the last couple of years so there’s some hope for the future.

Thanks wayniac. I think the photos I’ve seen this weekend Peaty’s wearing Syndicate kit and not a GB jersey hence my confusion…

…ah, just checked Instagram and he was wearing Team GB kit for qualy.

    Question answered.

Can someone clear my confusion?…I thought Peaty needed 30 (or something) UCI points to race the World Cup this year, otherwise race in a Team GB jersey (or something), but didn’t think he had it? If so, how come he’s racing?

Not complaining obvs, it’s great to see him racing but I’ve not seen anything about him getting or not getting the points and yet, thankfully, he’s there? What’s the situation?

Falmouth Cycles is nearest though never used them myself.

Mikie at COG Cycle Repair & Design in Penryn is excellent at fixing stuff (taking my wheels to him tomorrow for some TLC). Not to be confused with Cycle Solutions nearby who are more obvious from the road. They might be alright too but I’ve no idea.

There’s also Bike works Falmouth on the way up the big hill out of Penryn towards Truro direction.

Ha, I pointed out to them on Twitter that, despite what they seem to think on their front page, there is no such thing as ‘enduro riding’, that it’s just general trail riding and that ‘enduro’ is a race format.

    They’re response was:

“enduro is commonly associated with racing but is also a riding style. We recommend these items for both riding and racing”.

I disagreed. They responded that the page is aimed at enduro riders interested in both riding and racing as the items suit both.

Jesus, you’re all a bunch of miserable buggers!

We don’t hate all of you emmets, just the nob heads you send down to Newquay

A30 turns to single lane over Bodmin Moor but is currently being dualled, due to open fully in a year. Is currently 2 way single lane so you will still get the usual congestion but no worse than usual probably.

So did anyone here race at the weekend?

I loved the stages and had a damn good time – my race report here

Hoping to make round 2 at Triscombe…hopefully the weather will stay dry for it!

I did relatively well at some of the early enduros down in the southwest (top 20-25%) and am one of the quicker riders in my riding circles so fancied trying out more racing. Did the full UKGE and Enduro 1 series last year expecting to scrape 50% but typically finished 75%!

It kinda p*ssed me off at times that I wasn’t were I expected myself to be, especially as I was racing for a team, but this year I’m firmly in the take part and have fun camp regardless of result.

I like racing and testing myself against others (and admittedly hoping for some decent photos of me on Roots & Rain!) but I’m getting more used to considering myself as average. Which is all fine with me now!

Banged in my entry in for UKES Rnd 1 last night. Only doing the 1 day/Sunday race due to family commitments. Looking forward to riding somewhere new, even if it is a bit of a splash and dash for me!

    Anyone else doing Rnd 1?

Read the linked review, one thing I noticed is it stopping logging mileage. My 510 did this when it was full. Could this have happened? Maps and lots of commutes could fill the memory then it simply stops recording. Delete old rides after successful sync.

It’s been fine since I reset it, although did do it again yesterday whilst out on a ride. I had just ridden a slightly tricky section which had caused the unit on the mount to spin round a bit on the bars, so presumed I might have knocked the pause button accidentally. But it has been several weeks and I record my daily commutes, so it’s feasible what you say might be the cause.

No issues with my SL’s after 400 miles. Have been very forgettable so far…which is a good thing
