Keep practising. I gets psychologically easier to punch through the pain.

^this, it does get easier. Trick is to warm down a bit on the bike and start a little slower on the run. However, I’m only speaking form my experience, I do them for fun and personal challenge :)

No he’s going for a medium I think, they have more than one though. £900 off is quite a saving.

I’m biased as I have an LTc but I test rode quite a few before I took the plunge. The comment about pedal feedback is correct but with the modern shift towards 1x drivetrain’s its much less of an issue. I paid full whack for mine, very rare you see them discounted so it was (especially for me as I’m no millionaire) a huge sum of money for me to spend on a bike, but there’s not a day that goes by where I regret buying it. It really does do everything well and apart form it only having mounts for a cable dropper post I would change anything

Oh, did find one reduced here

http://www.bikescene.co.uk/Santa-Cruz-Blur-LT-Carbon-Frame-4333-0-5.html this is an absolute bargain (well, its all relative obviously ;) )

    and here’s mine :)

All that stuff is on Ebay, although I didn’t notice where it was, may have been form the US. You’re going to have to weigh this up. How often will you use the tools? Is it not worth the extra just to send it away and put it down to experience? :)

Some nice kit there. Nothing like fitting new bits and playing in the shed :)

eh? cr@p?! Listen its not the Alps (obviously) but I think the trails are excellent. Some fantastic bits of single track and well worth a visit. Don’t expect long climbs or descents (its is in the Midlands) but for what elevation there is its really good. Not forgetting the fact that volunteers have put a hell of a lot of work in there over the years!

As for navigation its dead easy, just follow the way markers.

I had the same issue a couple of weeks ago, ours are designed to use cable dropper posts not hyd. I just threaded it through the the shock mount and zip tied it to the rear brake hose, doesn’t look too bad although isn’t perfect.

My Scott Ransom used to go through bearings at an alarming rate (6-8 months). I manged to get the first set done under warranty (still had to pay £40 fitting) but that was it

Stripped mine down a bit at the weekend, gave it a good bleed and everything is fine, holding pressure and returning how it should. As long as your careful and don’t force things they’re quite easy to work on.

Froome is a good climber, without doubt, but he is part of a team, and there is no way he would have been up there in GC without the team playing its part. This can all be said of Wiggo, and any other GC contender. For example, it was only when Evans got a good team around him that he finally took top step; it is a team sport.

    Absolutely spot on

I’m heading there in two weeks, form the vids I’ve seen its slower and more technical with some exposed trails. You sound similar to me in riding experience and i’m not worried. It’s a holiday, it’s meant to be fun :)

I’d rather not send it back as I’m going away soon. Like I said there is a fix in this thread that I’m going to have a go at this weekend http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/rockshox-reverb-fail

Well, had a chat with my director this morning, laid my cards on the table. He was understanding and appreciated that I’m not happy. Spoke about creating an exit that mutually beneficial and seemed to go quite well.

I have to say I feel better already. I still need to get a job back in the NE but some sort of customer service role will do for now just until I get my head together, something that I haven’t been able to do for a while.

Thanks for the advice guys :)

my ex hated beards, small trimmed ones were ok but not beards, so when when we split up immediately grew a massive beard :)

To be honest the novelty wears off after a bit, they become itchy and food gets stuck ha ha

But I don’t think you know yourself as a man unless you’ve grown a massive beard :)

I’m sorry but that was a cheap programme made cheaply. Almost no substance and very very poor questions asked that seemed as if they were made up on the sport.

People have mentioned above, what would a non-cyclist have made of that? Would they watch episode two? No…..

And it was London-centric and the hipster-fixe **** image that cafe put across was not ideal either. How does that entice people to cycle? Promote cycling as a way of transport?

Look as some have also said its the first episode, so i’ll give it a chance. But I’m cyclist so I make allowances for Obree (who was clearly p$ssed of on medication) and Gary Fisher (who is clearly mental/American) a non-cyclist would/will just think, this is ridiculous.

Yeah I bought some marine grease from amazon, have a look on MTBr, that’s where I got the link form. The stuff I got looks exactly the same and cost £6 for three cartridges

Aw hang on Junkyard surely you can’t suggest that he doesn’t regard himself as English?

He’s a proud Englishman having also lived in England since he was 2 (to an English mother)

    Bit different to Froome

We will probably have the same conversation when Brad helps Froome win a tour.

Am I the only one that would like to see them race each other though? I mean, is one tour totle enough? It’s not like Brad is too old….
