As above ?. Unless you have most of the parts already, id suggest looking on ebay for a cheap complete 700c road bike. Once you factor in all the odds and ends like grips, cables, tyres/tubes it really wouldn’t be worth the hastle in my opinion…
But that just me. Best of luck if you do decide to get it up and running.

The irony is it appears quite a lot of Brits would quite like to live in France….

It looks great to me, and 300 notes should see it sell well considering the price of FF29, Solaris, etc.which are pitching at the 27.5+ bandwagon.
As said above, will this run as 29er also?

We have a fancy dan intergrated washer with the eco-low-temperature thingy going on…
Started to smell a bit within a very short period of time. The manufacturer’s explanation was due to the low temperatures, they quickly go mingy and should be set on a full heat boil setting every so often. So much for ‘eco’ credentials!!!

Edit: Discussing white goods on the internet… ****, I need to get out more.

Id buy a cheap post of the classified and sell complete minus reverb. I reckon 500 quid for full bike… Then either sell reverb for another 120 or so, or keep it for next bike.
    But thats me…

This is looking promising! The general consensus of Tuesdays or Thursdays work for me. Currently only a possible for this Thursday – but will need to confirm on the day.

I assume reverbs operate at a lot less pressure than brakes, and would therefore question whether it is man enough for the job?

I’m running DHF front and DHR rear, however the DHF looks like it would be equally as good for both. I’m really happy with them, however they were an absolute bitch to get on the hope rim!

I built mine up from a frame and searched the web a fair bit on the rear tyre clearance issue. Only a couple of months in, but I plumbed for Hope tech enduro wheels running 2.2 minions front and back. There isn’t bags of room, but no rubbing and very pleased so far!

FWIW, the minions are suprisingly beefy for 2.2…

**** ‘ell! Just looked at the ebay link and he’s getting some fairly generous bids going on… either sympathy or band wagon jumping, it may turn out to be a stroke of financial genius!

I also wondered about the Suzi Perry and Jason Plato on TFI… and it would explain how they were allowed to use the top gear track for the le ferrari bit.

It has to be the only major motorsport event I wouldn’t want to have a go at!
Most things you think “that looks like fun” however rubbing kerbs at nearly 200mph… no thanks.

I unwittingly bought a pop up from Argos for about hundred quid… for the price, I should have bought a Coleman Event Shelter. They seem great*

Head angle effects the none handed thing particularly at low speeds. I find steeper head angle XC bikes ‘track’ a lot straigher than a slack trail bike. My 29er with the 51mm offset fork and a little longer travel than stock is bad when on slow climbs but is brilliant at speed.

A quick note to say thank you very much. A really enjoyable ride, with some really nice folk.
Hope to join in again sometime!

I don’t know how far you are travelling, but half an hour is too far for me for what it is. I really don’t get why people rave on about it.
As said above, the rain will be horizontal and the wind will be a headwind no matter which way you pedal!

Every week I read the MNPR thread thinking I’d like to join in one of the Hebden or Tod outings, and every bleeding time I cant make it. (We had a baby on Sunday – beat that for an excuse!)
If there is to be a decent Saturday Hebden ride, please post a thread up as I would love to join. If thats Ok, of course…

Another vote for Forest Holidays. We went to the one near Dalby and thought it was great, but they have quite a few dotted about.
