Been 3 times, and it’s very much a family / weekend resort, built for the Turin Olympics with easy access to motorway, and unfortunately quite low. Not much (if any) off piste, it’s too small really and very little that’s challenging for good or intermediate skiers. I’d suggest, given where it is, that places like Valloire / Valmeinier (50k away) or Montgenèvre and what’s around there (30k away) would offer more.

I don’t have a definitive answer but just to say, expect the worst. This was yesterday, and yes, that is.

    Yes

Serious response is yes, both, he’ll work it out and there will be accidents. Don’t forget seat up / seat down conditioning if he has any hope of holding down a long term relationship with the opposite sex in the future….

I’ve snapped my right and torn my left (one on the bike and one skiing) – both in the last 5 years. Had an MRI on both that I paid for, put them in front of a good physio on the basis that this might work and would be a better option than surgery. I’ve been riding since, a lot! Skied at least 4 or 5 times as well and no ongoing issues. I can’t give you a medical answer, simply based on my own personal experience – the bit that made sense more than anything else was that I had little to loose by trying and everything to gain…good luck!

I did this on an Edge 500, put in airing cupboard, rice the whole 9 yards and it was completely borked – had to send it back and get a replacement.

I used to be able to stroke the pussy a lot when we first got together, now we’ve been together for a while the stroking is a lot less frequent. Perhaps it’s that we are past that stage, or we’re just complacent….

We use Google Aps / Google Drive at work – £1.95 per user, per month, 25gb storage free – pay for more if needed. Syncs when I’m on any network and keeps a copy on my Laptop when I’m away. Can also see it on my phone, tablet, web enabled browser and still use Outlook for my laptop. Awesome bit of software / engineering IMHO.

OP – same for me, the thought of riding flats (on anything that is technical, fast or jumpy) scares the c**p out of me. I ride DH on Mallets, and they are fine – when you need to bail, you bail. I’d run SPD’s again if I could find a flatter pedal then the current Shimano ones, in particular as you can really slacken off the cleat tension – making it easier to bail. Lots of DH racers ride clipped in as do a lot of 4X and BMX racers – seems to work OK for them.

Final thought, I did try flats for a few weeks and ended up with more injuries, scrapes, near misses than clipped in – I can’t afford any kind of injury that would keep me off work, so clipped in it is.

It is personal choice, no harm in trying both, not worth risking things if you don’t have to

Out of interest How many people have actually purchased a “Gravity Mafia” product as a result of viewing the piece of promotional media in question?

I did, two of them, bouncing around in the packaging they were like cats in a sack.

Spoon Hall one to CP was both very sanitised and full of walkers that it was disappointing to say the least. Went back the next day and did alternative descent, and it’s on the right, as you come down, not far after the one and only drop that’s left after sanitisation. If the weather is fine you can see it / bridle way stretching out in the distance. It’s not overly technical to Scar Head, and still quite a few gates etc, and also some Tarmac. Still reckon it’s a better bet than Spoon Hall.

Mine has ridden a 2nd hand 456 for the last 5 years, with a cheap set of Tora’s, factory wheels, 1 X 9 and cheap disc brakes – he loves it, goes well, and more importantly I’ve never done any maintenance on it, hurrah!
