If there is nothing wrong with the segment, then just email support and they will un-flag it or, just remake the segment yourself.
KOM’s are on your profile page I think, its the one you get when you click on your name.
lightmanFree MemberSometimes it works, but its also handy if you’re one of the fastest starters in the world ~ Fostermann vs Hoy.
Reflecting on the days racing, Chris said: “… Sometimes youre just not quite at your best and todays one of those days. I made an error in the second round and I paid for that dearly. If you switch off for a split second you leave yourself vulnerable and we saw that with Robert Forstemanns ride. Its a three lap race and theres nothing to say you cant attack from the start. It doesnt happen very often but it did today and all credit to him for having that intuition to give it a go. Its an important lesson Ive learnt today and thats in the back of my mind now for every race. Its disappointing but thats just the way it goes …”
lightmanFree MemberEh! They work fine, I use 105 10sp with Apex without any issues.
lightmanFree MemberIts hard to guess without checking it over personally, but I wouldn’t pay more than about £300, maybe less. Road bikes can be pretty cheap these days.
lightmanFree MemberHere you go. You could probably get the same result using strips of inner-tube, but Im not sure if they would be too tight, plus you would need them pulled towards the centre under the GPS so they wouldn’t slip off.
The silicone is just right between stretchy and tight enough, the extra bit (clear) is just one cut in half just in case, but there is really no need for it.
The wrist strap is wrapped around the stem though.
The blue tack is needed so it has something to make it grippy, and it really works well.If you were wondering, the stem is a broken adjustable that is carbon wrapped so i can use it!
lightmanFree MemberI just got a D20 last week and I have 5 bikes, so there was no way I was going to spend £50+ on mounts for each one. I had been using these previously for holding smaller flashlights on my bars and it now works perfectly for holding my D20 on the stem. I also use a couple of blobs of blue tack top & bottom to help secure it.
It is basically like using a couple off (strong) elastic bands, I did need to take my stem off to put them on the bikes though.
You can get them through ebay too if you don’t want to wait for ever for DX to deliver!lightmanFree MemberThe Chinese will copy whatever is the latest thing that will make them money.
They already do copy quite a few different models.
For them to get the frame molds, they apparently pay off the security guards and borrow a mold for a few days to copy it, hence the reason the frames are basically identical to the genuine ones.
Dogmas were once painted up Prince frames so easy to spot due to their round seatpost, but they have got the Dogma molds and they now have the aero seatpost.
I read an article not long ago from someone who deals with genuine frame maker factorys and he stated that the actual cost of a frame to the like of Pinarello was around $50!lightmanFree MemberThe top might be okay, but the shorts/padding could be really bad.
I bought a pair of under shorts from Hong Kong and the padding was like a humongous nappy and that was the small size! I wore them once and threw them away.
They also claimed to be Cool Max.lightmanFree Member99% are fine, you just have to make sure to give the frame/fork a good look over when you get it.
My friends French team use the same frame/forks as mine and paint it in their team colours.
This is mine and i have done around 2000 miles in the last year and a few races without any issues, it now has a black stem 🙂
lightmanFree MemberAnother ad he made last week. GT Agressor XC2.
I don’t know if that’s a bit to cheap too?!
A bit far away, but this is the closest stolen Spesh i can find ~ In Surry.

^^ sound just like ERC round this way
That’s a bit of a clueless reply considering the ERC only have one organised chaingang on a Saturday and is a beginners run.
There is a reason the faster chaingangs sometimes get referred to as “The black train of death“, and the last time i looked, the ERC kit is mainly red!
Maybe you should actually go out on one and see for yourself who the main clubs are!lightmanFree MemberI drove the support van for a group of my friends last year and im guessing you’ll be going a similar route.
Website route etc…
Most of the time i was able to just leave them to it, but on some of the narrow twisty fast country roads, i would drive behind them to slow the traffic down so they weren’t getting vehicles flying around blind corners at silly speeds only to be met with a not so fast group of cyclists, and i would either wave the vehicles past when possible or pull over so they could see when it was safe to pass the group. Then i would join the back of the queue again and i would start over again.
On the A82/FW road, i did just that, you may piss a few divers off, but its either that or risk a possible accident depending on what standard of drivers are out that day!
The day they did that road, it was pissing with rain, so visibility wasn’t that great either.
If there is a big build up of traffic, then i would suggest that the group pull over every now and again just to let it clear. The day of the road from hell, when they reached Fort William, i counted around 30 vehicles in the convoy because they never pulled over! It really wasn’t the weather for stopping in though.lightmanFree MemberDid you miss the 53×11 comment?
As for your other pro riders, did you also miss the mountains comment? Cummon, at least read what i wrote. So, because your coach has never advocated something that means it wrong, seriously!
I wont even tell you about the benefits of mid sole cleats as you sound like one of those people who are to scared to even contemplate trying something different.
EDIT: Why remove the change gear, Einstein comment?
lightmanFree Membermrlebowski & iDave
Are you really seriously saying/think that training with a heavy bike is pointless?!
I didn’t think people could be so clueless. If you honestly think that riding with a heavier bike will make a difference ask yourself this question “why don’t I just pedal a bit harder?”. Seriously, think about it.
Maybe you should actually think about it!
Years ago when i was fitter, i used to go out on the fast chaingang on my road bike, i found it too easy, so i used 53×11 all the way around the quite hilly circuit, even then it wasn’t that hard. Next time i used my MTB and i found it very hard and i actually got a decent workout for once.
I don’t live at the bottom of mountains, so i cant use a road bike for a decent workout, so using a heavier bike, i bring the mountains to me.
Surely it cant be that hard to figure that out.
On the 100kg bike i can get a really really hard workout on the flat and when i actually come to a hill, i get an even better workout.
Of course you have to produce more power when you’re on a heavier bike, hence you get stronger.
I have done weights for years because i could NEVER get a really hard workout on the road before, but now i have my 100kg Cargo Bike, it actually feels like i am doing weights when i cycle.Trust me when i say, i know how to train and i know what i am doing.
Maybe Chris Hoy and Craig Maclean didn’t know what they were doing either when they used to use a MTB loaded with weights and the brakes on when they were training!
lightmanFree MemberOf course its better to train with a heavier bike, not sure about the low spec kit though.
Why not wear good kit/shoes if that is what you’re going to be racing in, training with crap shoes will not make you better! My proper training bike is around 100kg
My MTB which is my every day bike and chaingang bike is around 18kg with no stupid slicks on it.
The road/race bike is only brought out when i need to remember how to ride it and if i need an easy day.
You will be a LOT fitter if you actually make your training harder, some people don’t seem to get that :/lightmanFree MemberJust having a narrow frontal area and a skin suit makes a huge difference.
Wheels and frame obviously help, but your body is the main drag factor.
Also, aero dynamics play a part as soon as you start moving and only plays a bigger factor the faster you go.
A TT helmet is 4x’s more aero than a standard vented road helmet. It also sounds like you just got passed by a standard club rider because if you got passed by one off the fast boys, you would’ve had no hope in keeping up as they tend to do around 30-35mph+ on the flats!
lightmanFree MemberAgain for the BL-700.
I had loads of battery’s and i found out most were useless after running them through the 700.lightmanFree MemberEdric 64 – Member
16.3 POUNDS not light ? do me a favour .Thats a good 6 pounds lighter than any of my road bikes .How light do you want them to br ffs?Your right, it does make the poster look a bit daft really.
Any bike under 20 lbs is pretty light and unless you are 5% bodyfat (which very very few people are then a few grams less weight will make no difference.
Make sure the frame is the right sze and play about with body position to get better aero.
WHY?
If you guys are happy with heavier bikes, then that is up to you.
My training bike is probably heavier than anyone’s, but i don’t go around telling everyone their training bike too light and to MTFU!
Surely its up the the person on how light or heavy they want their bike.
I just hope you guys never look at the Weight Weenies site!lightmanFree MemberPeople are saying they are identical and genuine lenses will fit.
I just got a pair and the quality is pretty good.lightmanFree MemberI use midsole cleats.
Some data, plus Joes new blog. These were my second attempt at modding.
lightmanFree MemberIt could be the shoes. I tried Shimano and found that they were too narrow, so can’t use them.
lightmanFree MemberIm a mod on there, they are just over a week behind in replies due to the holidays.
You have to use CSE to contact DX, all the info is at the bottom of every page. When did your order get sent?
My last two orders that got sent in December took 6 & 7 weeks to arrive!lightmanFree MemberIts the Royal Mails fault, not the seller!
I bought a seat post last year and the seller sent it the next days 1st recorded and it took them the full 14 working days before they delivered it, i say that because it is officially lost after 14 working days.
RM are usually quite good, but sometimes they can be really bad.lightmanFree MemberI have road triple on my mtb, 32/42/52.
Just used the same bb and the granny ring ever so slightly rubbed off the chainstay, nothing serious though.
It works fine.lightmanFree MemberI think you should at least ask for a contribution, if not the full amount.
If you were the person doing the suing in this case, i would be saying something completely different! ~ WTF!lightmanFree MemberThose are the ones that you keep hearing about steerers snapping, I’d stay away (if you value your face).
That’s utter rubbish!
As with any new fork, just give them a check before you put them on.
I got the full frame and fork, and im still alive, so just ignore the stupid scare story’s.lightmanFree MemberI have a Mundo V1 and it gets used as a training bike most of the year with 60kg of weights strapped on the rack.
At this time of year its job is collecting wood for my stove, and hopefully come summer, it will be a touring bike!
And, if you happen to kill your fridge/freezer, you can easily throw it on the back and take it to the dump!
lightmanFree MemberDon’t know about the warranty but, can you not just open it up and dry it out?
That happens with some of my small back up lights and i just need to open them up and wipe away the water and then they’re fine.lightmanFree MemberI just got one of these and im about to get another 3 or 5+
Its very impressive, but i would recommend using 18650 battery’s with it for a longer runtime.
It took 1-2 weeks to arrive.
And the mount you’ll want for it.lightmanFree MemberIt sounds like you aren’t happy with my advice! :/
That is the mount i give to ALL my customers (300+) and they are all happy with it.
Over the last 4 years i have tried loads of different mounts and that is the best, the one you seem to have gone for is okay, but not great.
It might be okay for the Joystick, but basically because it uses Velcro to hold the light and the bar, it will shake a bit and bounce the light up and down while going over bumpy ground.
Oh, the mount you went for, you can get it for $2 on DX.
