shorter stem?

last years anthem 2 for £999

Found Giants sizing chart and I’m bang in the middle of large 29er anthem!!!

The large I tried was 650b but really felt small….

Going up to an Xc race tomorrow….. Bound to be a few anthems around for me to have a nosey at…. If I get away with a large I’ll go for one of those at £999

had a quick spin on a large 650b and it felt tiny which made me think it was only 18″

my rune is xl 20″ and is fine..

yeah its looking like it 🙁

only 999 ones are all 20″ so out of luck

im sort of in the same boat….lower back gets sore, covered just under 100 miles last week on the hardtail…. it was fine on Sunday on the rune.

very tempted to replace the hardtail with an anthem…

Argos of all places have it at £199 with 18-55 and flash (no 22)

Seems a good price for it….

Anything else anyone would recommend in the £2-300 price bracket?

i have rode bigger sets of steps, problem with those and some i have local is the wooden edges, if the gravel behind them wears down and the steps are uneven its a dodgy ride and an easy otb ending

Yeah had thought about renting a car for a couple of days….. Ideally would like to drive to the south ridge but can’t seem to find a spot to aim for that will just do a flight over and into the canyon…. Like a half hour flight or something…

The west (where the sky bridge is) seems to be nice but not the ‘real’ canyon (not in the national park)

Not a cheap option looking like 400usd each

Anyway iv the 2015 rune I built up, still 26 but if and when I find some 650 pikes I’ll maybe change. The things a beast, it climbs as well as my alpine (no surprise there) but on the way down it is fantastic, I use it from everything from quick trail centre blasts to uplift days.

I put it in the neutral position think I’d slacken it for dh days and tighten it up for the more sedate stuff but I find the middle setting does everything well..

We stay at the Stanes 3 or 4 times a year in Innerleithen

i find it amazing how much damage a bit of cable rub can do…

that said i dont think that will cause a failure but id reroute the cable so it wont get any worse

seems a bit strange, iv never had to wait for money

i had no bank account set up (always funded from credit card) set up my bank account, transferred from pp to bank within an hour, no issue at all?

the removed bank details as they want it as you main payment source, i prefer the c/card as i reckon its a bit safer

as above traquire is decent pub grub, the indian in inners is good – the one in peebles is very poor we thought.

If you like a Pizza there is a place joined onto St.Ronans bar, you can order your pizza and go sup a few pints in the pub and they will bring it through.

We ordered 21 pizzas the last time we where in, reckon it was the pizza and bars busiest night of the year lol

Mine was getting a bit of tyre rub when I first routed it (spinning in the stand) so I routed it a different way… I’ll take a pic tonight if anyone is interested 😉

hmmm, i just built mine last week and it seemed the obvious way to do it.

then browsing the web last night i noticed most are routed on the outside so just seeing what other peoples opinions are, when i was setting up the shock with no air and in full travel it all looked fine cable wise!
