Has your fat bike got front suspension?
What tyre pressures are you running front and back?
All to be factored in when choosing a saddle…….

What would you call quality titanium – I see some like the Sonda and have to wonder.

    I’d trust the Alpkit bike.
I’ve a Jones 3d spaceframe, plus 3 Travers bikes titanium’s with another one on route.

Quality titanium every time, maybe slightly heavier but if it’s well made it’s a bike for life like no other

I’ve just let Mr Travers himself know about this thread.

I am very biased and i have 3 of his bikes with another on order.

The welding is the best you’ll find anywhere, custom bikes take around 6 weeks depending on time of ordering.

Whereabouts are you in the country?

I’m really happy with my custom Bat Fastard 5″ fat bike, stock Rudy 29er (the one before the Russ Ti) and my custom 29er+ Angus.

Never had an issue and I can’t wait for my custom 40mm wide tyred CX/adventure bike which is about 4 weeks away.

Just as good, slightly larger so boils more water and better for boil in the bag meals, plus it’s half the price

In my experience the way the Wildcat Tiger fixes to your seat post and saddle rails if far better than any that just wrap around and tighten.

This means no swing and no slipping while over rough stuff.

There’s a review here although the guy demoing it hasn’t fixed it to the saddle rails properly the rest of the review is spot on
    Youtube review
If you double over the saddle rail loops it locks it solid in place

    Get an Alpkit tapered bag
Fit it in a Wildcat Tiger seatpost harness as it’s the best option anyway.

I live in a labour guaranteed win area, so no matter who I vote for it won’t make an ounce of difference.
    So not bothering.

Getting next doors dog to bark constantly while playing with tennis balls with our dog in the back garden….
Because before they had a dog and ours barked a little while playing in the garden they used to slam their windows shut in disgust.

Pathetic but it makes me smile…

    One quick question.

In remote spots there are the occasional “No overnight parking” signs on car parks near beaches.

If you are only there for one night while “travelling through” do you comply or ignore these signs.
What offence can they do you for?

It is funny to read those on the south coast moaning about “endless slog this winter”
Try living north of the Midlands and you wouldn’t have ridden since October.

I have the small framed half fat (and 29er front option) Ti spaceframe and a Ti large framed 29er plus with rigid forks (so no real comparison I know) both running on Rohloff’s
The spaceframe is my go to fun bike and short ride bivi bike.
Any ride over 50 miles the 29er plus is my go to bike and it carries a lot more gear as well
