Looks like the rain that’s passing over most of us this evening will miss them doing the race.

There are still UK designed titanium bikes available, often custom to suit your needs.

    Travers Bikes
    Pact Bikes
    to name just a couple.

Think I’ve still got my Acoustic Research EB101 up in the loft somewhere.
    I wonder what it’s worth?

Yes I’m thinking about the biggest vehicle with 2 seats and panelled back windows that can legally drive at car speeds.
    Not a van van…..

    So what’s out there please?

The ali fork, overall weight difference (3.5kg on paper), tapered headset, bolt-thru dropouts and marginally less offensive colour are pushing me towards the Dune.
    What am I missing?

3.5kg between OOF and Dune? Wasn’t an steel forked OOF quoted at 16.7 and a Dune actually about 14.6, so more like 2.1 reducing to 1.5 with the carbon fork?

If you’re worried about weight and only looking at a £1k budget maybe fat biking isn’t for you.

Don’t worry about the weight because if you get hooked on fat biking then you will need deep pockets for upgrades of a new bike.

    Here’s my 3rd fat bike since 2010

The Floaters (if fitted correctly) are great trail tyres, simply fitting different tyres such at Surly Larry’s on the Fatty would be a great help for summer beach and dunes riding

    JohnClimber

No, I sold it on, it was a great bike for trails, rides up in the hills and the said Pine Woods, but with it’s rounded profile tyres I found that it wasn’t as good at beach riding as my other Fat Bike with a flatter foot print.
I’ve gone up to 4.8″ tyres on 100mm rims now for the sand around here.

Not bothering reading back through the many pages on this thread so sorry if it’s been done.

I don’t know how long the deal is on for (as I don’t work for them) but using code PXLIQUID25 gets a very nice 25% off the original On One Fatties
    With Carbon fork
    http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/CBOOFATX52/on-one-fatty-fat-bike

    and with the original fork

ride predominantly on snow go 5″, mainly normal trails go 4″

And 5″ for beaches and sand dunes are a little better on softer stuff than 4″er’s

    Cheers Monkeyfeet.

Would Cilcain be in the snow? or will it be much higher than that?

Just wondering if I can be bothered driving over or not ATM.

Got C17’s and a C15 on all of my bikes.
If they fit your bum they are fantastic I very tried many and these are the best (for me).
The C17’s are more comfy for my fat ar$e than the C15

As long as you never what to go back working there start telling your colleagues that they should be looking for new jobs.
Search jobs sites for them and email everyone in the office with your suggestions for them.
Stick suggestions up on the notice board.
Make sure that everyone knows why you are leaving. Stir the sh!t. Be messy. Break some lowly rules as to pi$$ off your bosses but not big enough to sack you.
As mentioned above, do sod all, turn up late and throw sickies.

Been Fat Biking since 2010, if I wanted a 4″ wide tyre’d Fat Bike and I was starting now with all that I have learnt and I had £1500 burning a hole in my pocket then the On One Fatty Trail with the Bluto’s would be what I’d buy for sure.

If later on you want a nicer say custom titanium frame then have it built around the Trail Fatty as it would make a great donor bike.

If you wanted even more floatation with 5″ tyres then you need to look either custom or the Moonlander

I know what you (Kayak23) mean about the “pressure” of taking a “photo a day” I’ve been doing it from 2009 for 3 years solid, then on and off for 2012. Another full year 2013, on and off in 2014 and a full year in 2015.
I promised myself a year off this year but after 2 days I have 2 photos already. It’s a hard hobbit to break once you’ve got over a month or so of dull and under interesting days

Had a new Picasso Grand C4 for the last 6 months as a company car and bike carrier and its been perfect, economical and comfortable.
Unfortunately it’s going back on Friday due to a job change. I won’t miss the company but I’ll miss the car

Is there such a thing as a 27.5″ Fat Bike?

26″ Rims and 4″ or 5″ tyres yes but 27.5″ Fat? Surely you are after 27.5″ Plus inner tubes.

27.5″+ wheels do not make a Fat Bikes

    EDIT, I take it back

    Cheers all

Russel, been playing around with it since I got it and yes it’s been dark at times so the flash has been used on and off.
The warning light came on today hence this post.
The camera came with 2 lenses so a spare battery from Duracell as mentioned above won’t break the bank

Shame they have such a high carriage free level now.
Put a few smaller things in my basket but the extra £19 needed for free carriage made me empty it again.
I must not of needed them that much
