This works well on mini-JEngledow’s wet arse friction rash:

JEndledow – a dual carriageway can be 1 lane in each direction…it is how the opposing lanes are divided that gives it the classification.
If there is nothing separating the opposing flow of traffic it is a single carriageway regardless of how many lanes it has. If the opposing carriageways are separated by a barrier/grass verge etc, then it is a dual carriageway, i.e. 2 separate carriageways…
Dual carriageway does not just mean 2 lanes in each direction, although it can do.

Fair enough, but if it’s a single lane dual carriageway there either won’t be space to get past or there will enough space and your nicely separated from oncoming traffic 😆

Having looked at the Thule website they just have roof rack, tow bar or the back door strap-on racks, I take it that the BMW rack would just be a strap-on rack (with a picture not showing the straps)?

Where’s the £800 rack? I was only looking at the £400(ish) ones (which still seem a silly price)! I don’t intend to buy anything from BMW, but wanted to see what they offer/suggest and find it cheaper elsewhere.

EDIT: I’ve found it now, but I think that’s just for a Convertible/Coupé which is fine as I’ve got an estate!

I’ve just spent 5mins making a very crude beer-can-stove and after a quick rummage in the garage I tried it with some white spirit, but it wouldn’t light properly, I’d get a brief yellow flame which would splutter and die despite there being fuel in the bottom of the can. Was this most likely down to poor construction, poor fuel (white spirit), both or something else? Thanks.
