Sorry! Solo 27.5. I couldn’t get the front to stick and felt it wanted to slip away really easily. But perhaps that’s my riding.
Tallboy wasn’t tall enough! God knows where they get there sizing from. No XXL.
Brilliant review mate.
I went there Saturday and Sunday to have a go on my first ever 27.5
Hated it! No different to a 26. Santa Cruz tallboy XL 27.5 and felt as thou I was going to go over the bars. I’m 6ft 3inches tall and the seat could of done with being able to go up another inch. Best bike for me that weekend was the specialized Camber 29. I can see why MBR gave it a 10/10.
Fantastic pictures guys. Would be nice to know how to avoid the lacquer peeling but so far I’m impressed. I’m Convinsed on having the tough paint due to going to local trail centre.
It’s very good, but does chip easily compared to powdercoat so more suited to road bikes, although Peaty does/did get his Santa Cruz’s custom painted there.
You a policeman?
This is a question after I have spoken to company who does the work and I’m about to send my love and joy for a paintjob! So I would like to speak to people who have had experience with the same company.
Argos?
No I haven’t mate. I love the new specialized stealth Black and it’s cheaper than a new bike. I also love Oranges’s Tangerine Orange. Need to have logos put back on thou. Love to have my own unique bike that no one else has got.

Maxxis Crossmarks work well for me at 50psi.
Crossmarks are great if you only have one set of wheels. Next week I’ll have 2 sets so I mite as well make my journey even easier by having the fastest tyre which by the looks of it is the sport contacts.

Cost no object: Thompson are launching around end of May, KS Lev is similar price but harder to source in the UK than most units.
I looked at the XF but hate the stalk remote – but some love it.
I’m waiting to see the Thompson then deciding.
Frankly, if I’m spending that much on a dropper, distribution/dealer backup will be a consideration in case of warranty although my mates’ experience of KS’s has been faultless.
Same. Spotted it earlier and will wait for May. Looks nice and quality should come with it.
Thanks for that scotroutes. I’ve got a specialized Carve Pro 29Er HT. Just ordered some new wheels, rotors, cassette and now I change over quicker for commutting and weekend playing.
my journey is tarmac and pavement 8.5 miles. been using maxxis crossmarks for 12 months but now ive bought some new rims I can pick the best tyre for commuting. never had slicks or “roadie tyres” before so don’t know what im buying.
I didn’t get chance to try the camber today they were always out, that and the enduro 29 which I wanted a ride on which was a shame. Had a chance to test the stumpy evo though and loved it ,great bike.
Tried a fair few bikes today and that was the best of the bunch IMO.
if the £2500 could take internal routed post I would of considered it.

I’ve just bought a Giant anthem X 29er and live near Llandegla. Its the perfect bike for it. £2000 so keep £500 in your pocket.
I got my LBS to chuck in a dropper post at that price too
Really is good for the money. Tempted.
Which dealer mate??
No one on a giant anthem but tested XL 2 weeks ago and it felt good and very fast bike. I’ve fell in love with the new stumpy fsr. Best looking bike for 2500 if you like the stealth look. Sat on the large 29Er in shop but sales guy reckons I should try XL. Will be testing it on the demo day on 15th at cannock. Can’t wait.
