contracts are what they are. it’s up to you to decide if you agree with the terms to decide if you want to accept the position based on its terms. if you’re not happy with it you could try to negotiate though I suspect they’d say no unless you we’re someone they really really want to get on board.

I’d steer clear of the Diamondback. Have a looksee in the classifieds on here. for around £200 you should be able to get a decent bike (much better than the ones you’ve looked at). you can get insurance for 2nd hand bikes but for £200 most household policies cover them without extra cost.
