OK – so usually from edale we go up to Hollins Cross then skirt the shoulder of Mam Tor….couple of hundred yards of tarmac to a traverse across Rushups and then down rocky steps……

all of that section from edale to the start of the rocky steps is closed?

Which bit is chapel gate? I am rubbish at remembering names of sections 🙂

Yeah – WLT was the section that was up for debate on the LB option…..as you say plenty of fun if it is not cold enough to have frozen…..

LB is winning at mo in the general consensus – I guess LB is favourite as we can always hit Hope for some food…..the Hayfield route is very much once you are out, you are out!! I do like this route though…..

Well the first outing resulted in no footage as just let it run…..and I had not turned it on correctly.

A few test clips at home…..converted to AVI to edit in windows media player….not as easy as I hoped it would be….

Will do lots of clips next time and hopefully get a result….

What do people do to ‘remember’ what angle to point at??

First GoPro outing on Sun at Degla…..not viewed results yet…..was mostly mud splatter I would guess….

Dark Peak conditions on Sun

Well – I can’t confirm what the white peak would have been like….but I can confirm that I should not have bothered with the dark peak 🙂

Parked in Hope. Up the Roman road to Hope cross. This was just about rideable. Last section up to Hope Cross was a river gushing 🙂

From there to potato alley was largely unrideable.

Up to top of Hagg Farm decent. This was rideable as was the Hagg decent – just.

Then hiked the bike back up to Hope Cross up the back of the beast as the path to the big climb to win hill was not rideable.

Best bit of ride was down the previously ridden river gush….and back down the roman road.

Probably lowest grin factor on a ride for some time though.

Least I got though I guess 🙂

If I go I will….might end up being a slushy Riber-run….

FMC – don’t mind the snow around many of the routes round there…..at least it is solid underneath….

Just wanting to see if people have been out and it is ride-able – i.e. you can see the rocks to avoid ‘safely’ etc..

Yesterday would have been fine as still freezing……the big dumping we just had is thawing like mad already and even last weekend that Riber route had boggy section under the snow…..

Great tries week in week out on the RL pitch…..don’t need to look back 40 yrs to find a good one 😉
