A driver last week slowed down as she passed last week, wound down the window to tell me to get off the road and use the (more dangerous) cycle path, then sped off. Doing that 800m before a set of traffic lights though is a beginners mistake

Similar happened to me exactly here, whilst riding to Guildford apparently the raised section on the left is a cyclepath! She started to accelerate away and had to swerve last minute to avoid hitting the island as she was too busy leaning over to shout at me, amusing and worrying in equal measures.

Australian GP, they have resurfaced the track.
Marquez already been in for a close inspection of the new surface but fine.
Lorenzo a few tenths from Stoners 2008 qualifying record in Free Practice.

While the Moto2 and Moto3 riders immediately broke their lap records, MotoGP pace setter Jorge Lorenzo was three tenths off lap record pace. But given Casey Stoner’s dominance at the track in recent years it probably says more about the Australian’s speed rather than the new surface and during tomorrow’s running the lap record should fall.

Have Good Year Vector 4Seasons, so far so good.
If I had the storage, would probably be looking at the winter/summer swap.
We currently live in a flat though so nowhere to store anything.

Fractured my Acetabular at Bringewood on an Orange 222, loved that bike, up until that crash anyway.

Spent a year doing similar, 12 miles of country roads and about a mile on gravel/dirt track. Continental Touring Plus tyres, they were fine, and puncture free. ditto reflective sidewalls.

Not heard anything negative from anyone who already lives somewhere this is in place, hopefully carrier bag lined roads will be a thing of the past.

Be nice if they could bring in a deposit on bottles and cans too, seems to be the only way to deter litter dropping *~@£%$.

Agree with sks chromoplastic\longboard, full length mudguards are a must for commute comfort.

Will be one of these I think:

    26″ wheels?
They are ‘fun’ to fit so you may need to take to a bike shop.
Might need to modify the stays to go around disc brakes if you have them for example.

Your front tyres do most of the breaking, all of the turning, and If your car is fwd puts all the power down… Get the best tyres you can afford for the fronts… You can economise on the rear..

    Bad idea.
Best tyres to the rear always, a front wheel slide is easier to control than a rear.

If you can’t afford to fit decent tyres and have low profile tyres on there, then sell the wheels that you have and fit a smaller size wheel: decent tyres are cheaper and you get an improvement on ride quality, really don’t see the point of big alloys on a daily, it’s purely a vanity thing.

Genesis Croix De Fer would be my first choice, like the idea of disks on a daily commute bike.

Use a 661 wrist wrap pro, have got a plate holding the Radius together. Physio was quite keen to get me out of that after the first month or so and just go without, a few years on I have the wrist wrap and have used when it aches on longer riders but otherwise fine.

EDIT: Used on a few road rides without issue.

How much was a puncture repair kit?

Fill the tyre with grass next time (takes a while and doesn’t ride that great) it’ll at least get you home without destroying the rim.

Laguna Seca this weekend, Marky Mark hasn’t raced there before, bet it won’t hold him back.

‘Dr Rossi’ to decide whether Pedrosa and Lorenzo race this weekend:

EDIT – they’ve both been declared fit.

Indeed, Hayden’s had some really wobbly moments. Edit: and just crashed…

Do like the Sachsenring, just that waterfall that seems to take everyone off, lots of left hand corners then the waterfall is a high speed bumpy right on the cold side of tyres.

    Practice on today.

Cal has come off at the waterfall, in medical centre with suspected left arm injury, was holding his wrist.

Lorenzo, high sided onto his plated shoulder, 😯 has walked to medical centre for checks.

    Really hope they are OK.

Really like these, looking at getting a MK2 when the Pishrat gives me a big bill, on 178,000 at the mo with no sign of stopping though.

Is it possible to get a smaller size wheel on them, say 16″ or will the brakes get in the way?

Might have just become a Honda factory battle.

Looks like Lorenzo has a broken collarbone. 🙁

Had the same issues. Now on a keepcup. Brilliant, very happy with it, keeps drink hot for a decent amount of time, can completely dismantle to clean properly and fits under coffee machines so they don’t end up using a paper cup first to transfer your drink.

    Cheers b r.

Had to replace the window mechanism about a year ago when the cable went so reasonably comfortable doing that, from reading up a bit I think i’m going to blank the lock off and have a go at the cables.

    Passatproblemsworld.

Got the same issue with cables, takes about 5 pulls of the door handle to open the driver and passenger doors, a Job Knockey tried to break into the car last night and has completely mashed the lock, am looking at getting a new lock mechanism and doing cables to fix this or shall I just do the cables and put a blanking plate from a rear door over the broken lock?

Still got acess via the boot if completely stuck I guess.

Slicks, hopefully those that currently feel the need to skid everywhere will do less damage.

    OR

Get some draggy tyres with no cornering grip, you’ll get fitter and improve your skills.

I started with We can remember it for you wholesale (the collection) gave a good range of the type of stories he writes, (title story was the basis for Total Recall)
Then from that moved onto the others – Do Andriods Dream of Electric Sheep, UBIK, Man in the High castle, Scanner Darkly etc.

    Really liked UBIK.
