Well, if you need to commute by train into Nottingham that narrows your options right down to either Chesterfield or Sheffield itself. And reasonably close to the train station in Sheffield as the train journey’s around 50 minutes alone.

If you don’t want to put a tree up until the 21st you can often get a bargain then.

Over the past 5 years my maximum spend on real 6ft Christmas trees has been £10

Some of the DIY chains give their Christmas trees away after the 20th December.

Last year B&Q were doing buy one get one free at £8.99 each.

I suspect they it costs them to dispose so they’re desperate to get rid.

    Cool. How’d you do them?

OS contour data (Terrain 50) taken into QGIS, contour lines coloured according to height using a calculated expression, exported as a pdf, tidied up in illustrator, printed onto fabric by Spoonflower and then sewn into a cushion.

You get a point if you can identify the location :-)

    Same surname?

I was told (Natwest) that they couldn’t deposit a cheque that was made out to two different people with different names without a joint account. I ended up getting the cheque reissued instead (council tax rebate)

My car was stolen and recovered, after it was released by the police the insurance company sent it to a garage for inspection. It couldn’t be released to me until it had all been checked over.

The only thing I was responsible for was reporting to the insurance company that the car was ready to be collected once the police had finished with it, otherwise I would be liable for the police storage charges.

I had my car stolen and recovered a few years ago. I was glad to get it back but was surprised at the number of people who said they’d have got rid of it straight away.

I’ve got off an airplane after 5 hours before ( left the stand but returned as crew out of hours). Others had been threatened with arrest prior to them relenting and letting anyone off who wanted to. My bags went on without me. Not that uncommon in the USA, I think my bags have been on different flights more often than not.

Thought we’d cracked it using the new ikea hinges with our existing mounting plates, but turns out cup size is the same but the little metal pegs that fit into holes alongside are a different size and spacing – doh

As cup size etc. not listed anywhere in specs on any sites selling them I kind of assumed it was a standard thing.

Ah, linked to the wrong ones on screwfix, meant to link to the blum ones

    http://www.screwfix.com/p/blum-sprung-clip-on-concealed-hinges-170-140mm-pack-of-2/14714

these actually look closer to the ikea ones

    http://www.screwfix.com/p/blum-sprung-clip-on-concealed-hinges-155-140mm-pack-of-2/14717

but at that price I might as well back order from ikea and pay the £15 delivery charge (hinges are 4 quid each)

The existing ones are blum, wanting to replace with wider opening and was hoping that could just pick these up and not even have to replace the mounting plates on the cabinet side.

I did 35 hours a week over 4 days for 6 months and loved it. New role wouldn’t consider it and I’m finding 5 days a week is definitely at least one day too much

Our brambles were really early this year, just about been and gone. Picked about 1.5kg without venturing out of the garden.

New favourite recipe for using them up Blackberry and Coconut Squares

Made plum chutney, plum jam, lamb and plum curry the other week and still had some left over.

Is this creating the jpg/png at the time of creating the pdf, with all layers switched on? Or are you wanting something where the user can select which layers they switch on and create a jpg/png from that?

This is how long it takes to set up an australian style folding camper

I’ve seen folding campers in the UK but they’re nothing like the ones above.

I do wonder if anything like the Australian folding campers you get will ever come to the UK. Not so much the off-road capabilities but that sort of design.

With the one my parents have you can use the kitchen (cooker, fridge, sink) without the trailer being unfolded so perfect for brew stops. All the storage is under the double mattress which you can access by lifting it when it’s unfolded or via a hatch in the back when it’s folded.

I’ve never seen anything even similar to that in the UK but they’re everywhere in Australia.

All manufacturers phones are getting bigger, the new HTC mini is bigger than a lot of their older models. Mine is on its last legs and I’m struggling to find anything the same size. Really don’t want anything bigger.

Haven’t houses always been built to ‘cookie cutter’ designs no matter the era?

My house is the same design as my friends 100 miles away but both are 65 years old.
