Looked like an accident to me, I was more concerned about englands neck rolls which got ignored.

bump for evening crowd. Thinking about Uniroyal Rain expert 3, Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season, or what?

Indeed I can go for that too. Good news for Wales eitherway, I cannot see them not making it out of the group.

What if three end up level? And A beat beat B, B beat C, but C beat A. Or is that mathematically impossible?

If Eng beat Aus, but then Aus beat Wales then thats exactly your scenario.
Wales beat Eng, Eng beat Aus, Aus beat Wales
Then I guess imagine Wales beat Fiji and Eng beat Uruguay.
With no bonus points it would be:
    Eng 14
    Aus 13
    Wales 13

But Eng are reasonably likely to get a BP against Uruguay
    Wales the same for Fiji
Aus might get one for just losing to Eng, but less likely to get one for beating Wales, but Wales likely to get one for just losing to Aus
    So then it would be
    Eng 15
    Aus 14
    Wales 15

All bollocks but amusing to think about.

    My predictions however are

Aus min 17 by beating Eng and Wales
Wales beat Fiji with a BP, lose to Aus with a BP so 15
England lose to Aus with a losers BP and beat Uruguay with a BP so 12

    scotroutes –

If England and Wales both end up on 13, Wales go through

Gotcha, at least there won’t be any arguments…

If england lose to Oz but get 2 bonus points for less than 7 points and 4 tries, and then win against Uruguay with 5 points they will have 13. If wales beat fiji with 4 points but lose to Oz by more than 7 then its gonna go on points difference.. Don’t be counting yer chickens.

Someone mentioned back there that they ordered the 4 over the 3 as they didn’t like the spec of the 3. I have been looking at it too, its 279 more expensive and the real difference is:
    1) Sram x9/x7 20 speed over the 4’s shimano slx 30 speed.
OK I prefer 20 speed, but so what really is the sram offering better than slx? I don’t think so.
    2) Formula brakes over SLX brakes. My past experience with magura was woeful and I like the slx a lot so I would rather have slx please.
    3) the provision of an x fusion hi-lo vs a normal seat post. For 160 you can get a reverb, which I would rather, or for 250 get a lev
    4) Black rather than blue. Yes the colour is better. I prefer the black.
Comments? Better off getting the 4, who cares about the colour and upgrading what you want rather than getting a shit spec 3?

At least you don’t have to bin them, this blokelady will actually buy them off you.

Depends on what condition they are in and how much he wants.

Let some fluid out, replace pads, bleed.
We’ve got 3 pairs of these and love them. Have to do the above procedure about once every 3 or 4 sets of pads, otherwise faultless progressive braking.
I’ll have them off you if you want to flog for the right price.

    Get another job pronto.
I would be belligerent enough to hand my notice in now and see how they go.
They obviously know that you do not have another job to go to so they have nothing to lose by turning you down at this stage, so get a rocket up em and move on.

My OH spent 5k plus on a TR450, our friend contemporaneously bought a YT Tues for 2200 euros. He thinks its easily as good as his tr450. Lesson learned.

I am plotting to enter a slew of these next year as a way of getting fit. So fret not, you’ll be 2nd to last all next year.
I am actually not bad on the decents but am so unfit and heavy that by the time I get to the top of the first climb most people will have passed the finish line and be showered up, in the car, and on their way home.

Umm, I might have done this, not on purpose, but sometimes you get behind someone and they slow you up and then you kinda wait for a bit and lose concentration because you are not going flat out and are looking at the scenery and they have slowed right down for a trail obstacle that you do not find as challenging as they do and end up rubbing tyres accidently. Noramlly a wake up call to stop and wait for them to get well ahead. Sorry.

Nowadays if I come up on someone fast I tend to stop and wait for a good while.

I do understand how any kid must feel, it must be soul destrying for some. On the other hand, my husband gave sperm for cash in the 90’s, he is now terrified of any progeny turning up at the door. When he gave sperm it was anonymnous. No wonder men will not do it.

Friends of ours are paying 4k a time for fertilization, the sperm (From Danish men) costs 2k.

Can I ask a dumb question? Surely Cips, Burrell etc are likely to get a game given the usual attrition?

I bought a Keela Saxon after reading a recommendation in this thread, and realising a riding buddy already had one and seriously rates it. So far on commutes in the rain it has been excellent. Very light, breathable.

Thats a bit expensive considering its either 2 years old, or bought last year in the sale for 1900..

I think the versatility is what this bike is all about.

I cannot be arsed to read all that – but was probs 2600 new, maybe 3000? Its 2-3 years old, can get a new alloy one for 2600 now. Its worth Somewhere between 1300 maybe 1500 if you are lucky.

PS you will make way more if you split it.

I will give strava a go. But I think I prefer a timer so we can argue about it on the spot.

There also some 2.99 kitchen timers on ebay.

    dbcooper

so with strava if you set a segment, the idea is to speed into the segment, so you can fanny about before and after but it will get your time between entry and exit? Accurate for a 1-2 min descent?
Might already be set up on strava – Scolty, the descents from the tower?

lorry pulled out on me with 300m or so to go

I was 6 cars behind in a queue going up the outside lane about 500m before the merge, lorry pulls out and blocks car in front.
Jam sandwich was behind me, had been for a few mins. He hit the wee waa flashy thing and we all magically merged on the spot, and the lorry got sent to the hard shoulder. Was very funny.

Not my words but from an ex railway braking engineer, now an aerospace braking engineer, I know who wrote about this to me recently.

The primary advantage with larger diamater discs is leverage.
There are also significant benefits in heat management, and increased frictional losses due to swept length.

I appreciate its “appeal to authourity” but he does know about brakes..

I would like to see it banned in all shared or public spaces including streets. Its air pollution.
