So if there are 2 and the other was wrong, I guess this must be right.

Just to be clear the 20p works as the tool for removing the bolt. I think the link above is the right bolt, but double check

Oh I see, I thought you meant the pinch bolt.a 20p works well as a tool for the preload bolt.

I’m sure someone has a spare in their parts box.

Oh and petra cycles are good for shimano oarts

    I’m assuming it’s hollowtech 2.

Looks like problem solvers backstop is what I need.

    Thanks

Not to hand but it’s similar to the above in that there is a cable stop on the top tube then the inner cable runs to a pipe thqt curves round the seat tube.

Did anyone have one? Were they any better than whatever was on offer at the time??

I’d be tempted to have another go at levelling the top of the steerer tube, its unlikely to be that, but you never know.

I’d go with gregsd’s suggestion first. It will be the housing authority, so district council or city/borough council.

The tools have different depths splines and different interior diameter. I’d try another lock ring tool.

I have 40mm nanos on mine, there isn’t a lot of room to spare. It wouldn’t take much of a wobble for the tyre to rub.

It has transformed the bike though, (along with upgraded bars and stem)far more capable off road.

The tyres are good but do struggle a bit on slightly moist chalk, I think they might get a bit of a handful in wet conditions and will probably go for something narrower and grippier.

I know they had problems with the paint cracking, other than that I think they are pretty good aren’t they? I’ve not heard of many horror stories.

Boardman looks incredible value, if you get the deals right, it’s even better.

I would wait for 20% off and add in quidco and British cycling discount.

Pad less bib over the top of your comfy shorts. Keeps everything nice and warm.

I’d be tempted to have a spare to hand, just in case

    What are you riding now?

I bet you’ll have to spend a lot of money to get something better than you already have.

I would guess at a Raleigh dyna tech of some description, but I’m not really sure on that.

Never seen a brake on a chainring before. I guess it’s ‘fixed’ and pretty tricky to slow down.

Avoid AlturA if you found the endura to be poorly fitting.

40mm nanos in mine at the moment. Not ridden them yet but there is still some clearance.

I think you’d struggle with guards though I’m not running any.

Oh I reckon it might be a carrera something.

A wanted ad here will usually turn up something
