I have one and have used it in Verbier all season, it’s a great bike. The fully built version from Orange is pretty burly. They should have an option with 180mm floats and air shock to make it a bit more Uk friendly.

Can’t go wrong with a 5, will be nicely bedded in when the Lapierre is ready for the bin.

    Hi Tim,
The only lift open is from Verbier to Ruinette.
The tdmf is not that interesting and involves lots of fireroad.
If you are around on Saturday with a map, we can give you some good routes.
Will be at the cheese fest on Saturday so will see you there.

The lift from Verbier to Ruinette is currently open 9-16.30 on the weekends.
There is also a pumptrack championships and cheese festival this Saturday which is always fun. I would recommend staying down in the valley as there is much more going on down here than in Verbier at the moment.

You could try a BnB in Le Chable http://www.verbier.ch/en/hebergements/bed-breakfast/index.php?idIndex=32

Thanks for all the lovely comments, pictures and videos. Its great to know you all had a good trip.
The ‘secret trail’ obviously isn’t , we like to call it the ‘Hyperventalator’. It is a very sensitive trail though, this is because last summer an unguided group of riders didn’t ride carefully through the cows, scared them all silly and one cow had to be put down because of a broken leg. This obviously doesn’t help the relationship with bikers and farmers. So, if you do ride it have a great time, you will, but please go carefully through the meadows where the cows are.

With regard to guiding, we are aware it is not cheap, however other guides in the area will be charging 180-320 chf per person per day, just for the guiding. If you do want pointing in the right direction we are happy to help if you drop us an email at bikeverbier.com

Didn’t like the old one with 180mm forks, the new one feels great with 180mm forks so i guess they must be different.

I will also be very interested to see how these forks perform on you bike wl, the build up to you getting them and putting them on has been bigger and longer than the build up to the olympics.

If you are the kind of rider who worries about Deore cassettes then it’s not the bike for you. If you love technical mountain biking then it is fantastic. :D

Great tyres, i run them all Summer in Verbier without many flats. The sidewalls are perfect, the single ply one are rubbish though.
