hi there, my parents have had weimaraner’s for many years and they get left for 6 hours a day (sometimes) without problems. we just make sure they have something other to chew on other than furnature , shoes, curtains lol

i always take what is writen in those articals with a pinch of salt.

it also depends if its lernt behavior. if it is used to being left alone from a puppy it wont be out of the norm when its older.

my other suggestion would be a weimaraner. can run for days! but a good family dog if trained in such a way, also very little hair to shed.

I have a 2011 crush and love it! Did 5 hours round w2 on it in the rain with no problems. Had it 18 months and its only weak point is me! I have put carbon bars on, new lock on grips, had a set of Dmr v8s on but have started using spd so have xt trail pedals on there now. Added a crud catcher ( bolted on) and a neo guard and it can do anything I can throw at it. From thick mud to Rocky descents its good all round! Goes up good aswell.

I am looking at a chilcotin or endorphin as my next bike. Just waiting for the first 2012 frames to arrive in October!

I’m this height and weight. I ride these places with this much gnarr (i’m racing?) I’ve tried these bikes, liked this because of something, but i’ve ruled out these alternatives because of that problem. I couldn’t ride a bike this colour or made by that company. I want a 26er/29er. I prefer to buy in this town or online, UK or import. I would consider doing my own build or not.

I’m Chris, 6 ft dead, 101kg (but not fat lol) I ride a lot of welsh trail centres and looking to go north of the border in the new year, but at the same time ride Sherwood pines most weeks. I have ruled out the orange 5 because it’s too common for me, not a fan of trek, spech, cannondale, not sure , about an unknown (to me) like Titus, and the mega is getting a little common for me. I have read really good reviews of the pivot and transitions. I want something quite natural as in goes up as well as down. Like the idea of the dw link and I am a carbon whore lol but it’s not the be all and end all. I want to stick to 26. Also I love lary colours like the green the bandit comes in. Don’t want to do my own build because I don’t have the tools or know enough.
