Mobi washer does the job just fine. Enough water for 3 bikes (unless its really sticky mud) and enough but not too much power

I found them big. Ordered a large, was far too big so ordered and kept a medium but a small would have been fine

It may depend on the tyre but my guess would be no as there isnt much clearance to start with

yes that’s what ive done. im running much lower psi than recommended by RS and although I use pretty much all the travel they’ve never bottomed out harshly.

If people can afford a Veyron why not buy one.

But wouldn’t you say the same about a garlic crusher?

Every kitchen I would hope has a knife.
Garlic press is a luxury item for people who like to waste money. If that’s your thing, fine, carry on.

it does help if you’ve got a tyre / rim combo that goes up easily (i.e. without a compressor, inflator etc)/. All mine go up with a track pump which helps a lot.

I can change a tyre faster than ive seen most people change a tube. Release one side of the tyre from the rim and scoop most of the sealant out with the red scoop that comes with stans sealant, or other round scoopy type object. This takes literally 10-20 seconds. Wipe what you cant out (which wont be much) with some paper towels. I’ve never bothered with scraping the old crap out, cant see the point and ive never died, and ive never had a tyre fail to seal because of this.

Re-use sealant in new tyre and add new sealant if required. easy.

edit: im not a serial tyre swapper- I generally stick with the same unless it gets very muddy which then stays on until it dosent get muddy. But if I was I’d stick with tubeless regardless.

Usually the germans. Try hi bike then go to bike components for a price match (and better service). I bought some a few weeks ago and were the cheapest back then (26″ version). Alltricks also worth a look

usually a few mins wait but some of the boys in our group waited 20 mins before setting off due to some muppets making a meal of loading their bikes onto the trailer and strapping them down.

Have they introduced “tickets” recently. If so then that’s the way to go.

Not sure if its the only option but you can buy individual non-refundable uplifts which I think are valid for 12 months. One guy was moaning on Friday as he thought buying these tickets would give him a priority space on the uplift, which it doesn’t so bear that in mind too, especially on a saturday

You will be able to get on the uplift bus on pay-as-you-go. Might have to wait a bit, but it will certainly be quicker than riding up. Check the queue, if it’s busy ride up, if not bus up.

Sometimes this approach can work out well, but you could be waiting at the uplift with only say 5 guys ahead of you. But by the time the bus turns up a large group of uplifters may turn up so you may have wasted 10 mins. It’s worth bearing in mind though and buying some one off uplift tickets though

Depending on fitness 4-8 full climbs / descents is realistic. More if you’re feeling fit.

I prefer to descend all the way to the bottom as otherwise the descents feel too short.

There are a few routes up with optional shortcuts. I wont go into the shortcuts but option 1 is the beast of burden. Ride it once if you want but I haven’t bothered the second time. I prefer the steeper climb up which starts at the same place as the beast of burden but stays on a wider track. Its steep with loose gravel for a short section then it eases off. The alternative is the main uplift route which is longer but less steep. I find the steeper one around 5 mins faster and takes me around 20-25mins at a medium pace (i.e. chatting on the way up)

Back in my student days i worked part time as a security guard, and it was common place for security guards to use hand cuffs although the company i worked for didn’t use them. We relied on a bit of old fashioned rugby tackling and wrestling, and once a co2 extinguisher

I full faced the other day as i had uplift. Wouldn’t bother otherwise. I wouldn’t class the trails as full on Dh and i was on a black the other day and thinking this is too flat to be a black! Having said that some of the trails are seriously fast and get better and better the faster you hit them (eg insufficient funds, rim dinger and willy waver, amongst others). Some of the black and red trails have a few more jumpy features but nothing overly technical. Its an awesome day out, especially with uplift.

Edit. As above the dh bike will be hard work on some blues and red

Mine are 150mm 25″ solos. I’ve installed 2 tokens and running quite a bit less pressure than recommended by RS. RS recommend 85psi but im running 50-55psi. The rebound and LSC are set roughly half way at the moment which seem fine for general stuff but I will tweak them plus or minus couple of clicks if I think it’s worth it for a particular trail

Never used the remote on mine but do use the go pro app regularly. The difference between the two isn’t limited to the remote though but ask yourself if your likely to make use of those features

I went for the standard white light so no issues.

edit: I didn’t go for the green as I had a Hope R4 headlight so they recommended also going for a white on the handlebars

I nearly went for the 4Fourth green LED based on their recommendation / preference but they did point out that it dosent work too well if you have a different coloured headlight. I went for their standard Holy Moses in the end, which is awesome. Good power, throw and spread. Battery life is good too (largest battery).

Not a fan on the shape or graphics personally. Shame though as they could have been nice. Like their brakes and pedals and hubs but these wont be going anywhere near my bike
